I have a hose connection to the unit so the water will flow into basement drain instead of bucket. It has started to fill up bucket instead of discharging via the hose. (all connections appear to be correct)
There must be a blockage in the hose causing the water to back up and flow into the bucket. Try pushing a flexble peice of wire through the hose to unblock it.
I had the same problem. The problem is that the plastic hose adapter that connects inside to the black plastic elbow is typical chinese **** and it does not seal, nor is it held in place. To solve the problem, get a piece of hose that will tightly slip over the black elbow inside the unit. Take the adapter to a hardware store and see what fits. To be really sure, use a hose clamp. That previous response about blockage in the hose is a typical lame answer from somebody who just wants to respond without a solution and I am sure that everybody with this problem checked that first; It is very unlikely for a drain hose to become clogged. Water and gravity are powerful and will find the path of least resistance. The poor LG connector has more resistance than the water dripping into the bucket.

When i hook the hose up, the water still continues to go into the bucket instead of out the hose
Am I turning it on correctly?
