I'm a bit confused....did you have all four of these in the ACER and are trying to put the 2x1GB into the Emachine? And that the 2x1 GB wouldn't work in the Emachine but they did in the ACER and that the 2x512 Acer cards worked in the emachine?

If that is what happened here is my best guess. The ACER MOBO will support 533/667/800 MHZ DDR2 RAM. The Emachine will only support 533 RAM. Iys possible the 2x1GB are either 667 or 800 MHZ and are not compatible with the Emachine but will work in the ACER.

I have an asus m2n mx (windsor) motherboard and an amd athlon x2 3600+ processor . . . i have a pair of 667mhz 512MB (total 1GB) ram and a pair of 800mhz 1GB (total 2GB). . grand total(3 GB) . . My problem...

The manual for your motherboard states:

For dual-channel memory configuration (2), you may:

• install identical DIMMs in all four sockets OR

• install an identical DIMM pair in DIMM_A1 and DIMM_B1 (yellow

sockets) and another identical DIMM pair in DIMM_A2 and

DIMM_B2 (black sockets)

* Always use identical DDR2 DIMM pairs for dual-channel model. For

optimum compatibility, we recommend that you obtain memory modules
from the same vendor.

I have Acer laptop Aspire 5570z module Zr1 with memory 1GB I want to increase memory 2GB or 3GB Is it possible or not What will be the expenditure?

Your laptop's RAM is upgradeable to up to 4 GB using two DDR2 533/667 MHz SODIMM modules.

So your upgrade options here are:
1. Buy a 1 GB DDR2 533/667 MHz SODIMM module & install it to get a total RAM of 2 GB (Price around US$ 25).
2. Buy a 2 GB DDR2 533/667 MHz SODIMM module & install it to get a total RAM of 3 GB (Price around US$ 45).

My computer does not work with two 2GB RAMs

I think, one, out of the two is defected. Make pair with other memory or try changing the slots and vice versa. And for dual channel memory mode, you must installed two identical memory. I mean sizes and makes may different, but bandwidth should be identical to each other.

Is there any problem if i install a single 2gb memory at one slot on my acer aspire 4315?

max ram per slot is 1gb, for 2GB total. A 2 GB module will not work

If I unstall DDR400 memory as as follows: DDR1 & DDR3 : 512MB each DDR2 & DDR4 : 256MB each making 1.5 GB in total, will dual channel technology be activated?

Definitely not. Dual channel technology requires that the 2 RAM modules installed in each bank be of the same capacity, data rate, & even better be from the same manufacturer.

Upgrade problems

Your system comes stock with one stick of DDR2 (512 MB), which means that it is _ not_ dual channel DDR2 memory as dual channel DDR2 must be installed in matched pairs. Try to exchange the new memory for 2G of some single channel DDR2.

Memory confusion different readings

It sounds like something isnt working right, what operating system are you using, Vista? I would take out the original 512 and see what it says after, often ram isnt compatible if it is too different in size and speeds. Also, if your motherboard supports dual channel ram and you have the extra 512 chip it wont run in dual channel mode, you would run better with just the 2 chips then the added 512 chip.
