Hello
Put it an other good known disc, which the set has played without any problem at all. If it also doesn read it, and displays no disc, the Laser Picku unit of your set has damaged. Put in a lens cleaning disc into the player, and play it for at least three times. If the fault is due to accumulation of dust or durt, the cleaning disc will clean it, and your set will be OK. If not repalce the Laser Picku Unit, sith same type and number.
The lens cleanig disc can be bought from most of the electronic sparpart selling shops at your town, and won't cost more. OK.

You can check on this:

If you can't solve this, you can also download a free Blu-ray player program which can be an alternative to it, such as Leawo Blu-ray Player

SOURCE: CD unit unit displays ''No Disc'' when there is a disc in slot 1

What does it do if you put 3 discs in and select each one? You don't say what it does with the other two trays. It would help to know that they work. If not, you have a bigger issue. Let me know.

The CD part of my player does not start.

From what it sounds like, the laser lens in your cd player is having trouble reading discs. Is it just one cd or all? assuming it's all. you make want to get a cd lens cleaner disc....it's basically a cd with little bristles on the bottom designed to 'sweep away' the dust that accumulates on the lens. However, should you do that a few times (i usually give it about five good runs) and it still doesnt work, try another disc and listen closely for any sort of 'out of place' clicking noises....especially a monotonous repetitively click or ticking.... that usually indicates that the lens carriage has somehow jammed or come off track and needs to be replaced or refitted. refitting them on the track isnt difficult and once you open it up it's pretty self explanatory if you're mechanically inclined. Hope this helps.

I have a car cd receiver kd-ar390/kd-g340, while playing a cd the music interrupts and displays ( e-3 ) even with new cd or recorded music. thanks.

When your car set stops and displays e-3 this usually is a sign that the disc which is being played is either corrupt or has scratches on it.
Also the e-3 could also be an indicator that the disc lens for the unit has gotten dirty and is due for some cleaning.
All you have to do is get a disc cleaning kit and run it on the car cd receiver to clean up the dust in the unit.Once you can get this done the unit should begin to function perfectly.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

My CD player has a disc stuck in it. It keep making a sound like its trying to eject it but finally displays a message "Mech Error." Does anyone know how to dislodge the CD?

This happens to just about everyone and the only way to get it out is with tweezers or a tool of that nature that can pull the cd out without damaging the cd player

My NAD cd/dvd T550 displays NO DISC.

I have the same problem. When I insert a disk, my NAD T 550 DVD player displays 'No Disc'. It started with new disks while still reading older disks, but at some time it stopped recognizing any disk. Did you receive any suggestion yet or has anyone a suggestion?

Kenwood RXD25 CD player intermitent??

Hi jenoss

Sounds like the unit has either a failing load belt to the cd drawer mechanism, not allowing the transport to fully load the cd. Give the unit a gentle tap just after the drawer closes and see if it resolves the problem.

OR a faulty spindle motor, you will have to take the lid off and after pressing play, give the disc a gentle "kickstart". If it then begins to run, then the motor is the problem.

If you find it is neither of these, get back to me here and I we shall go further

Faulty goodmans 1104s dab player

In the lid should be a mgnetic plate that holds the disc to the motor spindle (much like slight pressure would). Inspect it to make sure it's free moving and seating all the way when the lid is closed. I had one unit where the spindle on the motor shaft had slid down slightly causing the magnetic plate to not seat down all the way. Also, if the magnetic plate is removable, try placing it on the disc with the lid open and bypassed and see what happens.

Hope that helps...

No Disc

If you sure that the system supports the disc's format.. and it wont play other discs... try to clean the CD lens. CD lens cleaning discs: Every CD, stereo equipment, department, discount, store - and even sidewalk venders - carries CD lens cleaning discs. Are they of any value? Can they cause damage? I generally don't consider CD lens cleaning discs to be of much value for preventive maintenance since they may just move the crud around. However, for pure non-greasy dust (no tobacco smoke and no cooking grease), they may not hurt and could even do a good enough job to put off a proper cleaning for a while longer. However, it's also possible they will ruin the lens. Consider that the worst thing to do to a precision optical surface is to wipe it with a dry cloth as this is likely to scratch the surface as it rubs the dust over it. To the lens, a speck of dust is like a boulder. Once the lens is scratched, replacement of the entire optical pickup is the only remedy. And, since there are absolutely no sorts of standards for these things, it is possible for a really poorly designed cleaning disc to damage the lens even if the dust itself is non-abrasive. In addition, if the cleaning disc doesn't look like a CD to the optical pickup or disc-in sensor, the lens it may not even spin. So, the drawer closes, the drawer opens, and NOTHING has been accomplished! (But at least no damage will be done.) As if this isn't enough, NEVER put one into a high-X CDROM (DVD player or DVDROM drive). The high speed rotation may cause the cleaning disc and/or player/drive to self destruct. And, don't try a cleaning disc on an automotive CD player that sucks in the disk - it will get stuck.
