SOURCE: "Fill System/Press Steam"

Remove the tray at the front of the machine. Look inside and you will see a rubber flap which separates the right and left side of the machine. Gently lift this to the right and look inside to the left (a small mirror like from a womans compact and a flashlight will help you see in there.) You will find a small circular screen (about the size of a half dollar.)  You need to wipe ALL the coffee grinds off of this screen. That should fix the problem. If you use dark beans, you are probably grinding them to fine and some of the oily residue is sticking to this screen. Try grinding the dark beans more coarsely. Only change the grinder WHEN IT IS GRINDING by adjusting the litlle knob in the box where you place the beans. If the problem started just after changing the filter you may have air in the water line and it needs to be flushed. Try running the tea portion hot water until it clears. These suggestions were given to me by Capresso and actually worked for my machine. Good luck. Gary

SOURCE: less water than supposed to be

Hi
The sieve in the brew unit appears to be clogged, you say you have cleaned under the flaps, but are you sure there`s nothing left on the sieve? Clean out all coffeegrounds you find inside there. Also, check the grinder setting; it could be you have set it to fine. This usually makes the coffee barely dripping from the spout. After cleaning and adjusting the grinder setting, you should run a cleaningprogram.

In worst case; the sieve has to be taken out and cleaned, this is not recomended to do without training.

SOURCE: Water does not come out the frother/hot water spout .

Also could have clog in the frother. Unscrew the tip off and shove a staightened paper clip up it. Worked for me! Make sure you do the tablet cleaning to clean the scale out of the boiler. The coffee nozzles can get clogged the same way. Paper clip works there also (:

SOURCE: The coffee grinds no problem but the hot water

Your problem is due to scale deposit to the boiler. The water pump at the exit have one way goes to the boiler passing throung and goes to the coffee group and thus the coffee in the cup. Since now the boiler-thermoblock passage is blocked and the water pass troung the expell valve after the water pump and ends directly to bin.
So you need remove the boiler and manualy descale the boiler.Manytimes the boiler is so heavy build scale that it need to be replaced with a new boiler-thermoblock.

Kerig Vue will not come out of the preheat mode

This worked for me: 1) Turn off machine 2) Remove lower tray. It pulls right out. make sure it is clean. RE-insert. 3) Remove upper tray. It's a little trickier, put it also pulls down and out. Mine was full of coffee grounds. I rinsed it out with tap water. 4) Replace upper tray. 5) Take a used V-cup and take the foil and filter out leaving only the plastic tray. Clean it thoroughly of coffee grounds with water. Replace it in the V-cup insert. 6) Power on the Vue. It should come on pretty quick and say " Ready to Brew" run 6 to 8 oz through with just the blank V-cup. This will clean out any remaining debris. 7) Now put in a new V-cup and brew your coffee!

Leaking underneath

You are not alone having the water leak in your SS-700. For better understanding what caused that leak please read the review on Cuisinart SS-700:

Water goes into bottom tray

One possible problem is to try to clean the group shower which it can be ansrew by one center screw and if you can you can open the machine and remove to clean also the coffee group solenoid valve. Both the valve and shower can be full of dry coffee that can blocked the way of water coming to the grounded coffee.
One other posibble problem is the vibrating water pump. It might be full of scale and it can not create any pressure or it is completetly damage and need to be replaced.
First we sugest to perform a descaling of the machine and try again.
Second you should try to reduce by little the quantity of the grounded coffee used. Aprox you should use 7 to7.5 gr of coffee. If you try to use about 6 to 6.5 and you have the coffee runing out from the machine like in 25 sec you have about 30 cc of water.
If you manage to clean everything above and the machine work ok so from now on in order to avoid the problem again try to flush water from the group many times without any coffee. With this is like you wash the group shower and valve from any remai coffee.
Good luck

No coffe in the cup

Hi
I would say you have a stripped thumb screw. It is in the top left side of the brew unit and holds the filter screen in. If it is stripped there will be water or coffee in the pocket on top left of the brew unit.

Steam blowing out of group head

Were you using cleancaf to descale? If so, it is not a strong enough descaler. Use Dezcal. or a Dezcal cleancaf mixture. The two work great together.

Make sure you get some descaler in the solenoid area by turning on and off the coffee button.

Hope it works out for you.
