tag heaur 2000 second fingure skipping. Also need a instruction book

I have the same problem and contacted the company. It is an indication that the battery life is expiring, which will eventually run out and completely go dead. It has to be sent back to the North American Office in New Jersey so they can put in a new battery and have it pressurized. I found out that it must be pressurized in order for it to retain its life.

The battery is running down - this is the Tag Heuer early warning system for low battery.
See web page above which is from the Tag Heuer site.

Instruction manual

If the second is ticking as normally it is not the battery. If the battery is low the second hand will advance only at 5 second intervals meaning for four seconds the second does not move and on the 5th second it will advance by five seconds. This is a feature unique to Tag Heuer.

(cj1110.ba0576) Wrist Watch: the second hand on my tag watch is sticking for a ...

you don't have to change battery, as it was still at the right time. There might be some other reason that your watch behave like that. A test on the capacitor of your watch is needed, if this still strong then i suggest you should have your watch General Overhauled by a technician.

My Tag Heuer's second hand sticks and jumps in 4 to 5 second increments

Has your display got a flashing display "BT" at the right hand side of the display? If it has, then it means that the battery needs replacing.

Second hand not sweeping but jumps at 5 secs intervals. Appears to be keeping accurate time.

When the second hand moves in short jumps rather than a smooth sweep or a second-by-second hop, it means that the battery is about to run out. Usually, with a week or two the watch will stop working altogether. You should go and have it changed as soon as possible.

Second hand skips

This is warning: it's time to change the battery. Your watch is fitted with EOL (end of life) feature and this is how the low battery power is displayed. However, the watch will keep running correctly for about two weeks.

Tag Carrera Twin time , second hour hand is not staying at time

The second time zone hand is running on a 24 hour face (right hand half of face is morning, left hand half of face is afternoon/evening) so all you need do is multiply what it points at by two. As an example, if your second time zone hand is pointing to the right (3 o'clock) then it represents 6am and if it is pointing to the left (9 o'clock) then it represents 6pm [9 x 2 = 18:00]

Second hand doesn't move for each second

Your TAG is fitted with EOL (end of life) feature. This is the cause of that 4 seconds interval movement of seconds hand and thus indicating the time for battery replacement. The timekeeping is not affected by this- it is just warning to replace battery a.s.a.p.
Find your nearest watchmaker and ask for battery replacement.

Do not forget to rate, please.

Watch second hand

I had the same problem with my Tag. Same 4 second jump. It's definitely the battery. I'm surprised at only 3 months, but maybe it sat a while in the display case. Mine was over a year and a half.
