I have kenmore elite he5t washer and door lock light won't turn on to be abele to start the washer machine

The drum bearing is likely frozen up.

This is aself test procedure on the door locking mechanism . You will also hear a click, the drum will make a partial turn,and the door will unlock berore locking again. Once the door has locked a second time the washer will begin tumbling and adding water. The sensing process will continue until the correct amount of water is added to the load.

Please check the motor belt , the drain pump and the inlet valve. If the noise seems to come from any of these it is possible that it trips off the circuit due to a fault and so must be confirmed.
You can remove the connection to the seperate items to confirm if the panel switches on.

It may be sprung in the hinge or there may be a tiny piece of debris causeing the door to hang when being opened or closed.

To me that sounds like the problem may be within the door switch/lock, on the doorlock asm. is a little botton that sticks out of it,look and see if its their or perhaps its broken off. What that button does is tells the washer the door is closed so it can go ahead and lock it to start the cycle,its perhaps broken off sothe machine doesnt think the door is closed and thusly wont start.

Thats usually a sign that the door is still open. Make sure that when you put the bellows on the ring that goes around it was put on properly as well that way the door is actually fully closing engaging the door swithch and letting the machine know its ok to run.
