try hard reset

Turn it off and open it up. Remove all the components you can and reinsert them or plug them back in. ASSURE you are "static free" before you touch anything inside!!! Use a grounding wrist strap for best results.

Unplug and replug anything that is exterior. Remove any devices you recently installed. Mouse and keys included.

I would remove devices unnecessary to the boot process (dvd, cd, camera, stick, etc) everything but the boot device (probably your hard drive).

Try again. If it boots up, remove any recently installed software. Turn it off again. Add one device at a time until you get back to the starting point.

If you can boot in the very basic state (nothing extra plugged in) look ar your power supply. If it is OK - prove it with a volt meter - there may not be much else you can try.

Obviously one of your applications that you installed is the problem. Your best bet is to try to hard reset or reflash your device.
To do a hard reset:

1. From the Today screen, press the left soft key to choose Start.
   
2. Select System Tools then press the center of the 5-way navigation pad.
   
3. Select Clear Storage then press the center of the 5-way navigation pad.
   
4. Select Factory Default. Enter 1234 then press the left soft key to choose YES.

try to remove the battery first and reinsert it and switch it on, if it still doesn't boot, then remove your sim and memory card, try to reflash your back up firmware, this is if you know how to reflash it, if you don't know how to reflash your phone, try reading tutorials and join some forums. in this case you will have an idea on how to reflash it, but let me remind you, you will do this on your own risk, effects of wrong flashing would be a dead and useless phone. so if you are having a second thought, go to your service center, and just tell them that your phone just suddenly stop working. they will reflash it for you.

You don't need Sprite back up to sync contacts.All you need is ActiveSync 4.5 (for WinXP) or WMDC (for Vista). When installed connect your htc device and follow onscreen instruction. You can choose in settings what to sync.
