U have to check the button bcos it would make a problem or else go for a check in mechanism in which it runs the tape then check out the wires, better service in an authorised service centre

Iwould be looking at the brake mechanism inside, it sounds as though the solenoid to activate the brake is no functioning properly, could be getting tired or possibly a loose wire.
good luck.

I think there is a problem with the button... u need to change it... just contact the manufacture or an authorized serviceman to fix the problem

ok... then this might be a problem with the motor which runs the tape... if it doesnt rotate properly then this can happen... you have to service it or get a new spare

I just purchased a Rowe/AMi Fiesta R-83 jukebox and it has an intermittent issue. Once you punch in your selection it will either rotate the transport and stop without choosing your selection or it will...

Hello Brian,

Rowe Ami jukeboxes are known for their dry joints on the connection pins where they are soldered to the boards.
The R-80S to R-83 uses CMOS chips on the circuit boards and these are susceptible to static discharge so good eathing practices when undertaking repairs are required.
I suggest that you send in the following boards to be tested as a set of boards to a Rowe Ami repairer. If you were in the UK you could send them into me, in the USA Bruce Wentworth is the man.

Memory unit (on the mechanism/carousel)
Mechanism Control unit ( on the mechanism/carousel)
Selector Logic (on the righthand side of the cabinet, behind the display/keyboard etc)

Wurlitzer 1015 OMT Disc spins, then stops....

When the disc is taken from the carousel and put on the player how long does it take for it from the time it is placed onto the player to being returned to the carousel? Also is the cd spinning when its on the player or not spinning at all. The answers to these questions should help in pinpointing the actual problem.
