    after installing windows xp to my compaq presario v 3700, bluetooth is not working. help me to sort out this probelem.

If you are using the Preinstalled version of Windows using the Recovery Disks or Recovery partition, you should be having the Bluetooth drivers.
However, you can download the drivers for the Bluetooth Hardware in your Notebook from the links provided below for Vista and XP :
Bluetooth hardware drivers for XP :

Bluetooth hardware drivers for Vista :

Note : If the Notebook is not having a Bluetooth hardware and by installing the Drivers, you may find a Bluetooth icon in the Taskbar and this doesnot mean that you have Bluetooth hardware in the Notebook

first connect the blutooth device then you must turn on the make this active/dicoverable or and search for any bluetooth devices in both the bluetooth device and your computer the blutooth device should automatically search for any devices or you might have to do it manually click start click on my computer you will see your c:drive cd/dvd drives and any usb drives and you might see your bluetooth device

check your device manager if there s any yellow question mar or exclamation point and check the desription of that device. If no question mark it means that you dont have any device driver needed to be installed, there might be a specific bluetooth device that is added on your Bluetoooth Devices that is not on. Hello, acer 5535 Laptop, internal bluetooth problem
your laptop uses a foxconn bluetooth set. Make sure you have the proper driver for this device. Go to Acer support and make sure the driver is up to date. May look something like this:

Fox_brm_2.0 F/W 300

I believe this laptop is still using the bluetooth standard 1.1, so there shouldn't be an issue with finding another bluetooth device. Just make sure that the other devices are in discovery mode or they won't be seen regardless. Discover mode should be able to be accessed through the options tab under bluetooth. How to fix bluetooth place in laptop
when u turn on the bluetooth there is a bluetooth icon in the taskbar lit blue color just double click it will open the whole box of options to set

if u didnt get it then u should update ur bluetooth driver software from

For a Compaq Presario V3780TU Notebook PC, the Bluetooth driver is incorporated in the HP Wireless Assistant, a user application that provides a way to control the enablement of the radios for individual wireless devices (such as Bluetooth, WLAN, or WWAN devices) and that shows the state of the radios for these wireless devices

Bluetooth of compaq nc8230
there is normally a switch on the front of the laptop or a function key on the keypad to turn on/off the bluetooth, so check both and also when you turn it on, ensure in the the settings that the laptop is discoverable to other bluetooth devices, as your phone wont find it otherwise. If bluetooth is enabled on your notebook it should apear in control panel, so go to my computer>right click to properties>hardware tab>device manager, and look down the list for network adapters and click on the '+' sign and see if your blutooth adapter isnt dissabled with a red cross, if so right click anf select enable or has no driver installed; showing a yellow exclamation mark, if so right click and select update driver.
