35 inch mitsubishi tv suddenly went black still have perfect sound just black screen with one white line through the middle any suggestions?

I have got Samsung Plano 29 inch tv. I see redgreen and white color lines at the top of the screen.this slides down till the middle of the screen. Please suggest

If still under warranty, I would suggest going that way as this is a bad matrix driver....

the vertical IC most likely has failed

the x or y driver board is failing.best to have a servicer checked out

I've seen this a lot. The LCD panel is shot. Back to Sony for warranty.

The half picture is a verticale problem. This is difficult to repair. Send to a repair shop.

2 yr old 42 inch plasma.screen goes black,sometimes only half screen,sound is on.it does it after 1 hr of viewing, theres a greenish line in the middle of the black sreen when that happens,

You have a burn in problem from watching widescreen movies.If you have access to a signal generator or tv setup disc run a perfectly white screen on the plasma for about 30 min.This should help even out the pixels on the display.

caution whenever you see horizontal line please reduce brightness of your tv for safety of crt. your problem in vertical section only mostly due to loose contact in connector,print or loose components.
