Does not have the error code of this printer.

The problem solved itself when I assembled the top door :-)

52 scanner error means yoy got got an error with the scan assy, it could be many problems. If it not helps with turn off /turn on, try reset the printer. Turn off power press and hold * and #, turn on power, wait 20 sec and release the buttons. If printer not goes to ready, disconnect power cord when printer initialize and turn off power switch. reconnect power cord and turn on power switch. If you get the printer to ready state, upgrade firmware.

  1. Turn off the power by using the power switch, wait at least 30 seconds, and then turn on the power and wait for the device to initialize.
  2. If the error is still unresolved, contact Hewlett-Packard for technical support to troubleshoot the problem. Call HP for telephone support

The HP Printer error 52 indicates with scanner. When you see the HP printer error code 52, then follow the steps:

·Turn off the printer

Everytime i try to print from computer code 52.00 comes up what does it mean
The 52 error code indicates that there is a problem with the laser/scanner or the engine control board inside the printer. Sometimes re-seating the connections between corrects this issue. More than likely however, the laser scanner probably needs to be replaced. This is not a end user replacable part and takes a bit of know how.

A 52 error is a Scanner failure. Do you hear a "whirring" sound when you get the error?

That's the sound of the scanner motor running amuck.

You're probably going to have to replace the Laser/Scanner assembly or the DC Controller which controls the Laser/scanner motor.

The x can equal one of the following: 0 = Scanner error 1 = Scanner startup error 2 = Scanner rotation error This error can also indicate a problem with the shutter tab on the print cartridge. Action
  1. Turn the printer power off, and then turn on the printer power.
  2. If the message persists, check the print cartridge for damage.
    1. Verify if the shutter tab on the cartridge is broken or damaged. click on the below link. Shutter tab on the print cartridge
  3. 1 - Shutter Tab
  4. Replace the cartridge if damaged.
If the message continues to persist, then download the printer software based on operating system and reinstall.
