Static noise
Hello Eric
Just look at its connections. If the input connections have any loose connections at both ends, of the graound connection to both the devices are not proper, this kind of fault [intermittent sound and static noise] can occur.
Reconnect all the connections and check the connection wires. OK.
Hello
If all the connections are good and you hear the cracking sound even with optical connection, the fault is internal, and is with its circuit boards. Loose soderings to this type of amps are very rare. Must the falut to digital processor, and there is no repair to these digital boards, as card base replacement should be done. OK.
