G string sounds out when playing.it is on with the tuner, intonation is good, but sounds like ****.new strings instaled .had neck checked, its good.now suspect pickup height.
Make sure the intonation is correct. All guitars have an inherent flaw that can't be fixed concerning the G string. Some are worse than others. First of all tune your guitar the way you play, most people hit the string softly once and adjust using a tuner. Try hitting the string constantly while tuning. Back to the G string, there is a compromise to this flaw, you should tune G 10 to 15 cents flat. In case you don't know, on a chromatic scale there is 100 cents between each note, A to G for example. Some tuners show cents on the scale.
If you have the adjustable bridge try moving it back a little bit. the g string is a heavy string and will tend to go sharp when you have the string height up a little. make small adjustments usually only one turn or half a turn at a time. take care to note your adjustments so you can always go back to where you started. turners are nice but the ear doesn't lie. if it sounds right it's right
