My Meridian m7310 phone beeps once every time a call comes in on Line 1 or Line 2

Whenever someone external dials into the phone system, just my set beeps once as the Auto Attendant answers the line. While my set is not ringing, it would be nice to eliminate this 'notification' whenever someone calls either Line1 or Line2. Also of note, it does not happen when dialing internally or once the line is activated.

SOURCE: Norstar M7310 auto attendant problem

As far as changing the # of rings, that may be your phone company. Feature 983 will get you in to change to number of rings. It goes as follows:
Feature 983
System coordinator mailbox # and password
OK
AA
Lines
Enter Line Number
OK
Table
Rings
CHNG
Enter the desired number of rings
If after changing the number of rings the Auto atendant does not pick up at all, You have to call your phone company and set up the second delay through them. We had the same problem here.

SOURCE: Our Automated Attendant for our Norstar M7310 is

assigning messages is done by
feature 983>1020000>AA>Table>table 1>Greeting Type
depending on how you have the business hours times set it'll play the greeting you want. Typically I set the greeting type as morning:1, afternoon:1, Evening:1 and Non-business:4. then under business hours I set them up as mon- fri morn:0800am, aft:0800am, eve:0800am and nonb: 0500pm. sat and sun as morn:1200am, aft: 1200am, eve:1200am, and nonb: 1159am
press Rls when finished
that way when a caller calls between 8am and 4:59pm they get the day greeting and from 5pm to 7:59am they get the night greeting (greeting 4) saturday and sunday play the night greeting all day.
Dont forget to record greeting 4 as your night greeting.

First of all, make sure you're plugged into the headset port of the telephone and not the handset port. Pressing the Handsfree button should change from handset to headset. You can't use the speaker phone with the headset plugged in.

M7310 Non-Stop Dial Tone

Intercom button/s provide dial tone when they are pressed. They are required to call other phones on your system.
Sounds like your button is stuck or issue with the motherboard.

Code for date & time

Depends on which system you have. M7310 is just the phone model which is compatible with all norstar meridian systems.

The easiest way (which only works on one of the phone system models) is to dial Feature ** TIME
and use 23646 as the password. If feature **TIME doesn't work for you, it might be best to do it with someone over the telephone since it can be slightly tricky.

My Meridian M7310 phone system is unable to receive or give out going calls on Line 3 only. In addition there is no dial tone on that line only. The other 4 lines are working great. I have already gone to...

Either the line from the telephone company is out or the line port in the line card is defective. The easiest way to determine if its one or the other is to report the line trouble to the telephone company. they'll check the line up to where it comes into the building, and if theres a problem on thier side they'll get it back in service. If the report the line is good to the building, then you'll need to call your telephone system service technician.

You have to remove line 4 from appearing on all of your phones.
Login to your system with Feature ** config.

When i hit the "vmail" button it beeps and says incoming only

That button is not programmed for voicemail, sounds like someone was playing and gave you a Target Line...

Press FEATURE * 0...
then the button that is giving you issues...
If the button says ex: 145 Line 145 that is a target line...
If you see Feature 981 that means voicemail.

My guess is someone gave you a Direct Inward Dial [DID] (a direct number) to your set.

Norstar m7310 phone

Rushy: I assume you have a KSU which controls the entire system. The KSU is cabled to each line number provided by your local phone company. Once you have this line established it now makes contact with your phone set via dedicated cabling to each telephone set.. With all this hardware in place you can now program the line keys on each set for either one touch dialing or line access for your dial tone. Program guides can be aquired through GOOGLE by entering " Norstar m7310 program guide".Thank You. Jerry
