I log into yahoo account and it comes up showing emails...click on them to open and receive these error messages: name: Type Error; message: 'gExtContent' is undefined; number: -2146823279; description: 'gExtContent' is undefined.
I have been seeeing this type of annoying message for many months, but beofre today I could just dismiss the message, and I would eventually get to see mail. Today it takes me to a final runtime error note that tells me "Q4.jd is not an object", and I don't get the choice to run classic. I've tried (many times) clearing caches, blowing away temp files, and cookies, history etc.. it makes no difference...I have been seeeing this type of annoying message for many months, but beofre today I could just dismiss the message, and I would eventually get to see mail. You can't post conmments that contain an email address.
Try this
right-click the menu bar and check 'Web assistant'. the Web assistant should now be showing on the tool bar. click on it and uncheck 'Block ads on this site'. this works for me in yahoo mail and also solved a problem i was having with my website's webmail account (MailEnable WebMail).

I think you have to contact Yahoo to solve that problem, when you are logged in on yuor mail everything you do is happaning on yahoos server. So to solve this problem i think the people on Yahho is the ones to ask.
and from it select the form (click the page to get it), that is proper for your report.
Don't send any login information unless they ask for it (they will likely NOT ask for a password, but can ask you for your username).
This error information shows that their mail login processing scripts and possibly their database interface have been corrupted or coded incorrectly, and this is something that only they can fix, not you, the mailbox user. HTH
It is pssible to get to your mail by changing your account to Yahoo Classic. To do this you will need to go to Yahoo's home page and click on the 'Mail' link. When the "Error" 1st message comes up click OK. When the 2nd messgae appears move the "Error" message over the "having trouble loggin on" message located in the top right of the of the screen. Locate the OK button over this message. Very quickly, and I mean rapid, click the OK button twice. You may need to do this several times to time it right - it took me three times, When Yahoo's solutions appear just click in the Classic option. I am now back in touch witth the world and although it hasn't resolved Yahoo's problem yoou will, at long last be in touch. I'm not claiming to be a problem solver, I found this in Yahoo's answers.
Yahoo is still having some problems at the moment. Suggested cures range from Update Adobe Flash Player and Java script to clear IE7 cache, cookies, and browsing history. Different things seem to work for different people. It's causing attachments to not show, 999 errors where it won't let you do a particular action and some people cannot send receive delete or move mail. It's not just Vista either it's happening to some of us on XP. If all else fails go back to classic mail via this link. http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/dc/optout?s... click yes when asked do you want to opt out.
