Yes, it's called dead batteries.

Replace the batteries with new ones, and then just turn it on. It shouldn't be necessary to sync it to the xbox, unless yuo have synced it to another xbox lately.

If your guitar was not purchased new (since it was hard to find these guitars late in the life cycle) then perhaps it was already faulty before you received it.

Guitar hero guitar wont work for xbox

For a wireless guitar, press the Sync buttons on both the guitar and the xbox. (The lights should swirl around the xbox logo on the controller and the power button on the console. The console's button is on the front near the CD drive and the controller's should be near where the xbox logo is). You'll know the pairing was successful if each component suddenly flashes and the controller shows only a single light on.

The input cable fits into the guitar but it won't stay put, it just slides out as if it were too small.

Pro's loop the cable through their belt or guitar strap to avoid cable pulling out or twisting and wearing the connector.

DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE USB PLUG FOR THE ROCKBAND DRUMS FOR THE WII AND HOW DO YOU SYNC IT TO THE WII?

Yes, you do need to use USB for rockband drums for wii, but i don't know how to sync the drums, if they're wireless, if it's a wired set, just plug it in the back of the console, i know how to sync a wireless guitar, on the part you plug into the wii, there should be a tiny white button, and the guitar should have a white button on it, push both buttons at the same time (make sure that thee guitar has batteries and the other is in the wii), if done correctly you should be able to play, if the wireless drums work like that too, than i hope this info helped.

My guitar won,t play threw the amp lots oof static

The things to check arre FIRST the cable. These often have breaks or bad connectors. Replace with known good one and try it.

Next are the jacks on the guitar and the amp. These go bad and wiggling the KNOWN good cable at each end will flag which or both being bad.

Next are the switches and potentiometers in the guitar. Use some CRC226 sprayed into the pot and switch contacts... use sparingly...

The key is to find which thing or things are bad.
