Push2tv error Cannot obtain network address. I have tried all of the troubleshooting help but to no avail. Any ideas.

you will see all of your internet connection details


or type in your default gateway adress into your internet search should read something like 10.0.0.138 to get an inertnet connection

Try plugging the desktop into another router port. Recycle the router. Set both your desktop and laptop to obtain IP address automatically. Make sure router is dynamically assigning IP addresses. Make sure your Domain and Workgroup settings are the same on both machines. Those are just a few ideas. :) Hope it helps.

It depends how you connected the Netgear Push2TV adapter to your TV. The best way is to connect using an HDMI cable. Pay careful attention to which HDMI input you use in the Panasonic TV. Then using the remote control for your TV switch to that input. Usually there is a button label "Input" or "source". Make sure the Netgear Push2TV adapter is turned on and when you are switching among the various inputs you will see the Welcome screen on one that corresponds to the Netgear Push2TV adapter.

I have one error my error is: there is an IP address cnoflinct with another system on the network

"IP conflict on Network" -> means your have 2 or more clients (PC terminals) having the same IP addresses on a workgroup on the Network!

You have to reconfigure your network TCP/IP settings from your Network Connections. You can reconfigure the settings using "Obtain an IP address automatically & Obtain DNS server address automatically or do a manual settings using alternate configurations"

Hope it helps.

For the not so tech savvy users it is quite complicated.

Wireless Adaptor Issue

First make sure that your wireless router is set to broadcast (or if you prefer not to broadcast) your SSID (your wireless network name) or that your laptop wireless network connection properties is set-up to "Connect even if this network is not broadcasting".

To check this go to:

Click Start> Connect to>Show all connections>
Right click your Wireless Connection and select properties>
On the Properties box select "Wireless Network" tab >
Go to "Preferred networks" then highlight your SSID (network name)
Click "properties" button check "connect even if this network is not broadcasting". (while youre here check that your "Wireless network key" confgurations are correct).

Make sure that you are also set-up to "Obtain an IP Address automatically " and "Obtain DNS server address automatically"

To check:

Click Start> Connect to>Show all connections>
Right click your Wireless Connection and select properties>
Select "General" and under the heading "This connection uses the following items">
Highlight "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) then click "Properties" button

Keep geeting an error message another IP address has been detected. I have a wireless router & laptop, and a desktop whcih the the main computer.

If you have Vista,
  1. Go to START > CONTROL PANEL
  2. Under Network and Internet, click VIEW NETWORK STAUTS AND TASKS
  3. On the side panel, click MANAGE NETWORK CONNECTIONS
  4. Right click your Wireless network, and click PROPERTIES
  5. Single-Click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
  6. Click Properties
  7. Write down all the infromation in case you need to type it in again later.
  8. Click "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically"
Sorry, but I cannot help with XP at the moment.
