All of my copies have toner on the right edge. How do I fix this?
All of the copies from my Sharp have toner on the right hand side, primarily on the edge of the paper. I have taken the toner cartridge and the drum cartridge out and cleaned it as much as I could and I still keep getting lots of toner on the edge of every page. How do I fix this?

This is most likely caused by the drum unit. This unit is located just to the right of your toner cartridge. Just remove the toner cartridge first. Now remove the drum unit. Turn it over and look at the blue/green colored cylinder which is the drum. It should be clean. If you see a band of toner on one edge of the drum then this is where your toner on the copy is coming from. You will need the drum unit rebuilt or replaced. While it is out also check the front side of your toner cartridge. Just visually inspect the toner "brush" that runs all along the front side and make sure there are no piles of toner on it. Do not touch the brush or turn the roller.

When this happens, you need to clean the scanning area. When you lift the top cover, you will see a green clip on the right hand side (of the actual cover) and you clean the scanning section on the left hand side on both the bottom of the cover and on the base where you would put your original copies.
Then open where you put the toners in, and pull out on the green rods a few times each, and this will help clear the grid.
it may have had a dirt inside that may have been causing the lines. try cleaning with a soft dry cloth then try to print. reseat first the toner before you clean or wipe with a soft cloth
Check your tire pressures: 10 psi. for rear tires. 14 psi. for the front.
Note that according to MTD: Making sharp right hand turns. Twin-blade mower decks are designed with
the discharge on the right side and two side-by-side blades. The
side-by-side twin blade decks have the left hand blade positioned
slightly forward and in front of the right blade. This provides cutting
overlap when traveling in a straight line. As a result, the tractor
should mainly operated making primarily left hand turns when cutting.
During left turns this cutting overlap is maintained. If turning right
when, it is possible to negate this overlap and leave an uncut strip.
adding toner to Canon copiers will not fix copy Quality problems. Do the copies look better if you manually adjust your exposure setting? If so you can clean the optics, which are the mirrors under the glass. Be very careful there are alot of sharp metal edges, that can cut you very easily.
You can use windex.
make a copy when you here the paper getting picked up count 2 seconds and open front cover or side stopping the process open the copier and see if the dark line is on your drum or transfer is the problem
the problem in your machine is on the drum unit there is a arching on the mc unit.located in the upper portion of the drum unit.if you have an old drum unit try to install it again just for testing.and check if ther is a dumping toner again.

Several things can cause this problem;
The drum cartridge is not being cleaned properly or there is a problem with the toner cartridge .
Take out the drum cartridge and inspect it for any signs of the defective image.
If that doesnot solve the problem, then Call a tech.
