Using windows 98 shut down problem

Are you trying to set up a raid configuration? If not I would reformat using the 98 disk and reinstall. (You may be able to skip installing 98, try installing xp first and it should ask for the disk containing the software (win98) that qualifies for the upgrade.

There are several reasons that can cause old Windows operating systems to shut down. Has this always been an issue or did it just start happening? If it just started, then think back to what you may have changed on the system...hardware or software. Remove software or hardware and try it again.

You can also try disabling the fast shut down sequence by following these steps:
1. Go into msconfig (this can be done by typing msconfig under the command prompt)
2. Go into advanced.
3. Put a check mark in the disable fast shutdown box.
4. Click ok and ok again.
Try shutting it down.

you have to use xp os.because windows 98 is tatally back dated. thats why its not opening. or you can check it into another xp os. computer if it is open then your sure that windows 98 is not supporting, or if it is not open then your pendrive has some problem.

You game's software is not compatible with XP, it was designed for 98. That is what your saying correct, you installed Windows XP not XL?

Which OS you are used.if You used windows 98 then boot up your pc with bootable windows 98 cd,it loads cd rom driver automatically.
