2200 watt dirt devil

Each time I use my bagged microban 2200 watt dirt devil vacuum cleaner it hardly picks anything up. I have checked for blockages and I've cleaned the filters. There are no other visible problems that I can see. Please help. It's quite new and I'd rather not replace it if it can be fixed. Thanks

SOURCE: miele vacuum cleaner not working properly

Is the suction low or ok at the vacuum without the hose attached? If it is ok, then there is a clog in the hose. If it isn't, then check filters, is the speed variable, is the contol set too low. Could be a bad motor, running too slow.

SOURCE: How do I change the bag on a dirt devil model 103?

On the open end of the bag that slips onto the vacume, there is a cloth "tab" sticking up from the band. Take hold of this tab and lift up while easily pulling back until you see the band about half way off the vacume. Now, you can take hold of the band and pull the bag the rest of the way off. You will notice that there is a "rib" in the middle of the band on the side that faces the vacume. That rib fits into the groove where the band goes on the vacume. When you install the bag put the band on this groove and work the band on around the housing. You can center the "tab" anywhere, just place it where you can get to it easy. The other parts you need are on the internet, I found them all including that rubber plug called the "attachment port" plug. The p/n for the replacement part is 3-201744-601. The original p/n is 3-501744-601 but you'll be better looking for the replacement part number. Good luck!

SOURCE: Vacuum has new bag but won't pick up dirt. Cleaned

It's clogged somewhere. Disconnect the hoses where you can and check for obstructions. Run a coat hanger down the hose if you need to to clear the obstruction.

My Miele S3141 canister began acting strange this morning. No suction...so I took off the hose and checked for blockage, (nothing). Now I can't get the hose back on the canister. It just slips ar

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Air filter:
If the vacuum cleaner won't pick up dirt and has no suction the air filter might be clogged. Remove the filter and either clean or replace it as needed.
Exhaust Filter If the vacuum cleaner won't pick up and has no suction the exhaust filter might be clogged. Remove and clean the filter, replace it if its torn or damaged.

Vacuum Hose If the vacuum cleaner won't pick up and has no suction the vacuum hose might be clogged. Remove the hose from the vacuum cleaner, stretch it out straight, shine a bright flashlight in one end and try to see light through it. If no light can be seen, use something to run through the hose and free up the obstruction.
Vacuum Bag If the vacuum cleaner won't pick up and has no suction the vacuum bag might be full. Clean or replace the bag as recommended by the manufacturer.

Dust Cup AssemblyIf the vacuum cleaner won't pick up and has no suction the dust cup assembly might not be installed tightly, or it might be cracked or broken. The dust cup must seal tightly in order to produce the right amount of suction. If it is cracked or broken, replace it. Most glues and adhesives will not successfully seal the crack.
Blower Wheel If the vacuum cleaner won't pick up and there is no suction, the blower wheel might be jammed or broken. Check the blower wheel to be certain it turns freely. If it doesn't, check to see if there is anything rubbing against it. If not, but it's hard to turn, the motor is most likely the problem.

I received my dirt devil canister vacuum - vision pet for Christmas and have only used it several times. I am having trouble with it not suctioning very well. I have the max suctioning turned all the way...

Change out the bag. Check the internal air passages for blockage. Check air flow without the bag and pick--up hose in place--should be quite forceful. Attach the bag and try again. If ok, attach the hose and try again. At some point, you should find a large blockage of debris. Hope that helps!

Durt Devil upright 12 amp Vision Vacuum Cleaner

If there no blockages in the hoses, then the next thing to check would be any filters in the vacuum. When these get clogged, you will experience this problem.

Dirt Devil Featherlite not picking up

It sounds like you have a blockage somewhere. The brush roll will still gather material, but if the suction is insufficient, it will spit it back out eventually. Take the bag out and check at the connection for blockage. When you are sure it's clear, put in a new bag and turn the machine on. The bag should inflate rapidly. If it does not, check elswhere for blockage.
