Number of rings before going into voice mail

Currently, our telephone rings about seven times before it goes into voice mail. How can I change the system so that it goes into voice mail after the third ring?

Depending on your system and configuration, that timer could be in any number of locations, and most of them are only available to a certified dealer.

How do I increase number of rings on CL2909 ATT phone

The CL2909 does not have an answering system. Thus the number of rings will depend on the caller's patience or your voice mail service. You need to check with your telephone provider to find the procedure to change the number of rings before your voice mail system answers the call. You'll have to get into the voice mail system and then access those options.

AT&T has the manual for the CL2909 on the product page: https://telephones.att.com/pd/290/CL2909-Speakerphone-with-caller-ID-call-waiting . The direct link to the manual is currently https://cdn-media-att.vtp-media.com/products/CL/CL2909/CL2909_CIB_i14.0_20170210.pdf .

I hope this helps. If you add a comment with your telephone provider, I may be able to find a guide to their voice mail system settings.

I have a KX-T7433 and would like to change the number of rings before it goes to voice mail. It is currently set at 4 rings and would like to change it to 6

The KX-T7433 isn't an answering machine. If the voicemails are going to an answering machine you have on the phone line, consult its manual. If the voicemails are going on to your telephone service provider's system, look for instructions in the phonebook, or contact the provider.

If you need a KX-T7433 manual, you may download a copy at Panasonic KX T7433 Phone User Manuals Guides

Trying to change the number of rings before my phone goes to Voice Mail on the Meridian (Nortel) M5316. Only two rings currently so I miss a lot of calls. Thanks!

Depending what system your provider is using it can either be done by you at home or they will have to set it. If you call your provider they will help you or they will fix it. Each ring is set at 6 second intervals so if you have 3rings that is 18 seconds. If you was 6 rings then ask for 36 seconds etc. hope this helps

How do you adjust the number of rings?

Each ring is 6 seconds. Phone your phone provider and ask them to set the rings to 36 seconds for 6 rings

How to set the number of rings before the machin answers

Log into your Vonage account and change the number of rings or seconds to intercept for VM. In my Packet8 service, I can set a number of parameters for dual ring, intercept, and/or turn voice mail on and off. The last time I worked on a customer's Vonage we could do the same.

Voice mail recording for my new panasonic digital phone

For voice mail service subscribers
If you subscribe to a flat-rate service
package that includes Caller ID, call
waiting, voice mail, and unlimited
local/regional/long distance calls, please
note the following:
L To use the voice mail service provided
by your service provider/telephone
company rather than the unit's
answering system, turn off the
answering system (page 30).
L To use this unit's answering system
rather than the voice mail service
provided by your service provider/
telephone company, please contact
your service provider/telephone
company to deactivate your voice mail
service.
If your service provider/telephone
company cannot do this:
- Set this unit's "Ring count"
setting so that this unit's answering
system answers calls before the
voice mail service of your service
provider/telephone company does.
It is necessary to check the number
of rings required to activate the
voice mail service provided by your
service provider/telephone
company before changing this
setting.
- Change the number of rings of the
voice mail service so that the
answering system can answer the
call first. To do so, contact your
service provider/telephone
company.
