Somehow the E7-02 error for the sharp AR 5316 was resolved by a friend who seem not to have knwn what exactly the problem was or what he did, the machine is working. Now what is the abreviation LSU?
E7-02 LSU trouble
Check for disconnection of the LSU
connector.
Check the LSU operation with SIM 61-1.
Check that the polygon motor rotates
normally.
Check laser LED lighting.

Drive system home sensor malfunction
• The scanner home sensor is unable to detect the scanner located at its home position. • The scanner home sensor is unable to detect a scanner even when the scanner motor has been driven to move the scanner over the maximum travelling distance. • The scanner home sensor detects the scanner when the scanner has moved the maximum travelling distance from the position, at which it blocks the scanner home sensor.
1 Correct or change the scanner drive (cable, pulley, gear, belt) if it is faulty. 2 Correct the scanner motor set screw if loose. 3 Adjust [Image Position Leading Edge] and [Feed Direction Adjustment]. 4 Check the connector between M201- REYB/SCAN PJ5 for proper connection and correct as necessary. 5 Check the connector between PS201- REYB/SCAN PJ8 for proper connection and correct as necessary. 6 Check the connector between REYB/ SCAN PJ2-MFPB PJ14 for proper connection and correct as necessary. 7 PS201 I/O check, sensor check REYB/SCAN PJ8-3 (ON) T-9 8 M201 operation check REYB/SCAN PJ5-1 to 4 T-12. 9 Change REYB/SCAN. 10 Change MFPB.
C6102 Drive system home sensor malfunction
• The scanner home sensor is unable to detect the scanner located at its home position.
• The scanner home sensor is unable to detect a scanner even when the scanner motor has been driven to move the scanner over the maximum traveling distance.
• The scanner home sensor detects the scanner when the scanner has moved the maximum traveling distance from the position, at which it blocks the scanner home sensor.
Obviously something wrong with the scanner, could have possible come off its rails or if you're lucky,
C 0650 - Faulty scanner home position sensor.
Remove the glass and clean the home sensor. If the scanner moves smoothly remove foreign matter and other obstacles, clean the scanner rails, clean or change the scanner bushing.Place WD 40 oil on scanner bushings.
E - 22 Scanner home position sensor error.Possible causes: scanner home position sensor failure scanner motor defective incorrect scanner ddrive wire position Remove the exposure glass and verify the wire and the sensor actuator. Turn DIP switch 101 - 1 ON and press START key to run free the scanner.DIP switch is located on PWB board in rear area, remove the rear cover.
The scanner home position sensor does not detect the home position during initialization.
Causes:
Scanner I/O board or SBU defective • Scanner motor defective • Harness between scanner I/O board and scanner motor disconnected • Scanner HP sensor defective • Harness between SBU and HP sensor disconnected • Scanner wire, timing belt, pulley, or carriage defective
SC 601 = SCP board PWB J malfunction or scanner motor malfunction.Scanner motor located in rear parts right side and the PWB J panel in the right side of copier.Try open and closed the front door, push the trouble reset switch,if the error code persisit change the scanner motor or PWBJ.Move the scanner manually, turn ON the power switch,if the scanner exposure lamp move, working the scanner motor is OK.Check the scanner home position sensor.
This looks like the American GP-200 copier. You have an error for the Scanner not going back into the home position after it has started to move. This could be the home position sensor, Scanner motor, or the DC Controller Circuit Board.
It could be a bad scanner motor or home position sensor or the circuit board that drives the motor.
Put the copier in test mode to check the motor or sensor. Press the following keys: # * C * then press START/ENTER , press 1 then START/ENTER again, Subcode 1 will test the motor and sub code 2 will test the sensor.
L3-00 indicates scan carriage motor trouble. The carriage with all the mirors on it is not moving at all (scanning) or is not moving at the required speed so it does not reach its "home" position. If restarting the copier does resolve the issue....
A few things to check... When you turn copier on does carriage move at all? if not then the motor could be bound up (not turning) - also make sure the cables pulling the carriage are properly wound. remove the main glass and make sure there are no obstructions in the way of the carriage (a loose cable maybe or dirt) can you move the cable by hand freely? if the motor locks up it could be really hard to move the carriage.
The carriage seems to be moving freely (by hand and when you turn the copier on) it could possibly be the "home position" sensor that is faulty and not reading the correct position of the carriage.
You can the copier in test mode to check either the motor or sensor. press the following keys one after the other # * C * then press start/enter , press 1 and start/enter again, sub code 1 will test the motor and sub code 2 will test the sensor.
So it could be a bad motor or sensor or the MCU board that drives the motor (or may just need a good cleaning).
Good Luck.
