it happens to me in many games.when i am playing a game after 5 minutes when playing the game the image stays on the screen but i cant play the game.i live in india so i cant send it to sony

There are many reasons why your PS3 could be freezing. It could be over heating during game play, and you should keep the system in a better ventalated room. The other reasons my be internal and I'd suggest you call Customer Support at 1800-354-7669. Just tell them what's up and they'll suggest a solution. The wait time for me was like 12 minutes, so its not that bad.

Ps3 keeps freezing on games only

Try using a can of air to blow out the fan area. Even though its well ventilated it may be full of dust. It sounds like an overheating issue. Also look into aftermarket fan/cooling solutions, that dont plug directly into the PS3 and have there own outlet power plug.
