I have had a Mitsubishi DLP 52525 for 2+ years now and recently the green timer light started to rapidly blink when the unit was turned on and it continued to blink without the picture coming on. After discconnecting the power and then using the system reset button, the problem remained. I swapped out the lamp and the tv worked for about a day and now the same problem is occurring. I have hit the system reset button but to no avail. There is nothing in the manual that deals with what is indicated by a constant blinking green timer led. Looking for suggestions. I have Model # WD 52627 and I recently replaced the lamp after just under 2 years of use and just 2 weeks later my TV had the blinking green light and it refuses to stay on. I have tried unplugging it and pressing the restart button. Sometimes the TV will not turn on at all; sometimes it turns on but I get a blank blue screen; sometimes I get the Netcommand start up screen. When I receive the Netcommand setup screen as I am entering the information, it will freeze up at some point and I can never finish entering the information. After it powers down the cycle starts all over again, with either the TV not turning on at all or getting blue screen, etc. I have called Customer Support and was transferred several times, no one could assist and I was made to feel as if I am the first person to ever have this problem. While I am still very frustrated it is "somewhat" comforting to know I am not the only one. If anyone can offer a known fix it would be much appreciated.
The 52525 is definitely going to either:
1. have the caps on the FMT/DM board replaced (not something I'd recommend you do yourself)
2. have the electrical chassis rebuilt (as sometimes, you can replace the caps and still have the problem).
wait time: 4-8 weeks
cost to rebuild: $400-$500
cost for labor: $200-$400
