Saeco Magic De Luxe Machine coffee grinds drawer overfills with water
My saeco coffee machine which is a couple of years old works well but the coffee grinds drawer has started to overfill with water instead of the water going into the drip tray.

Hi The thumb screw on the brew unit is stripped. If you remove the brew unit and you have water where the thumb screw is its stripped. you just need to remove the old one and replace it.

Simple answer is it counts how many coffees have been made. If you turn the machine off and then empty the dredge drawer the machine doesn't know this. and the light will remain on. Leaving the machine on when you empty the drawer lets the machine know that you emptied it (15 seconds out) and it will turn the light off.
If you leave the machine for a while, the residual ground beans in the grinder stick and clog the grinder.
- thus "timing out" with the "No beans" light.
After taking apart the grinder and cleaning it out, it still didn't grind. -
Then we ran some ground beans through it a couple of times, and then put fresh whole beans on top of the preground, and it took.
HI When a machine grinds but doesn't make any coffee there are a couple of things. If the grounds are wet in the dredge drawer, then you have a plugged brew head and need to clean it. If the grounds are dumped dry into the dredge drawer, then you have an overcharge and need to adjust the dosing lever back from the full charge. On your machine it is inside the door at the top center. Pull the lever back towards the front 1 click. Then try again.
Try setting the grind to the coarsest setting, if you still have the same problem, check the wire connections to the board, it might have been reversed.
There's moisture in the grinder & it's clogged - just dismantle the grinder & clean it, then ensure you don't splash water into the bean hopper when you fill the water tank.
