I deleted by mistake my acer web cam in my aspire 3690 and im trying to get it back can you help me.

You can try opening the device manager, find the webcam and uninstall it. After, click the button to find new hardware and it should re-install itself.

check to see that it is being detected in "device manager", also check the manufacturers website for any driver updates.

if simply you need the drivers to re-install it then simply go to http://global-download.acer.com/image/ico_download.png if you need more then that, them please give more info next time :)

i would go to acer.com and reinstall the built in webcam. I would also go into start, right click my computer, click properties, go into the hardware tab, click device manager and see if there is any yellow shields. that means u need to reinstall the driver. if there isnt i would check the source in the camera software

configure yahoo msngr to use your camera . If in doubt try with netmeeting first .

unfortunately there could be the possibility that your acer cam is not compatible with vista.. vista is a tricky os right now so it is particular on devices and compatability issues--i was an early adoptor and it isn't fun.. i would check out logitech cams, they seem to work well but look for the vista compatible.. you may want to visit your acer website and see if there are any update or downloads for current users that now have vista.. hope this helps..
