My screen on my rca 61130 has cracked i ve removed the screen protector and need a NEW SCREEN can it be replaced

Its a screen protector which will be sticked on the mobile screen. It will be so thnn, please use an sharp stick which will not damage the screen and using that remove the old screen protector. Then remove the sticker from the new protector and place it on the phone screen and stick .

what is the model number for you set. is it a hd52w56 or something like that. on that model it is called the super sheild. is the inner screens damaged.. if just the outer screen that runs 200 or more. i have seen people just replace the plexiglass on it. the inner screens run about 250

it is compulsary to replace the screen.calling a technician is much advisable if you dont have any technical knowledge.
you can do it your self by removing the old screen by opening the locks on the inner side and removing the screws from internal side.

You can remove the screen yourself, actually, on a lot of these sets, it just means lots of unscrewing to open the cabinet and get it out. If only one layer of your screen is cracked, it will be a lot cheaper. And if only the protective covering is cracked, I'd just throw it away and not worry about replacing it. That sparkly colored effect you see on white colors on the picture? That's the screen protector. Some people remove it for aesthetics.

Try adjusting your Red screen control down just a little. This is usually a sign of the red crt developing a short. Often just turning the Red drive down just a bit will make the retrace lines disappear if not you will eventually need a new CRT or repairs in the red drive circuitry. Hope this helps.

the outer screen on these units easly replaced. RCA #258797 their called supersheilds.. rca charges about 70 dollars for the item...If it is just that i have seen people just use a clear sheet of plexi. removeing the screens requires removein several torx 20 screw around the outer and remove the frame.. then the clear peice of plexi is attache with serval brackets.

The lenticular and fresnal screen for that unit are sold together under RCA p/n# 258513 and are available from Vance Baldwin for about $260.00 plus shipping.. They make for an oversized item so the shipping is probably 70% of the part cost.

my son cracked our screen protector and instead of paying two or three hundred dollars to replace it we had plexy glass cut at Lowes and put velcro striping around the edges and looked as good as the original and has held up great for five years now.
