Aquacycle 1000 will not operate the 30 minute short programme. Advice please

You have said "Every Program" but I'd like to make sure that's the case. The issue you're describing is highly unlikely to be programming. More likely I would suggest, is that the heater in the machine has failed. As a result, a 60 minute program (Which is planned to take 60 minutes taking into account the average time the water takes to heat up), will run for AGES while the machine waits for the heter to get the water up to temperature, which it can't because the heater is dead. Firstly, test this theory by running a 60 degree wash and feeling the door glass after 20 minutes. It should be HOT, my guess is it will be cold. Also, If I'm right, a cold wash program will run fine (Rinse and spin for instance) As will spin and pump out settings. If this isn't the case, then there is a possibility of a blockage. Though you have said the pump works, I would suggest disconnecting the waste pipe from your drain and putting it into a bucket. Fill the machine and then pump out. The water should FLOOD out VERY fast. If it's slow or a trickle, there is a blockage in the pipe or pump.

There is usually a hatch at the back of the washing machine.

You will probably find that the power fluctuation has blown the controller, the door will not open until it's replaced. You can drain out the water by tilting the machine back &remove the pump, please make sure the unit is unplugged befor attempting any work on these machines, They Will Kill You.

Could be that the drive pulley behind the drum has loosened on the shaft. You do not say that you can hear the motor, but the drum moves slightly. Some machines have a shear pin which fails to prevent damage to the drum and motor. If you machine has one of these, it will be obvious when you get the back off. The lack of load on the motor could do strange things to the programmer. Good luck.

This is a 30 minute, 30 degree wash.

faulty fill valve. or tap not switched on correctly if it has the blue tap remove the top of the tap and use pliers to switch it on

i have a problem with my zanussi aquacycle 1400 xtra capacity. some times it works ans some times not like there is a problem with the power the alternater? should i change this part? please help as my wife is driving me crazy.

assuming you had correct value fuse, fuse blowing may have been caused by a machine fault.after power outage, cycle should resume.
