You will need to use a friend's computer for the following.
Once you find the correct firmware, You can make a bootable CD by using Nero or Roxio burning software,these are the most common on computers nowaday.Once you make the bootable CD, you will have to set your laptop to boot from the CDROM. Then boot the CD you made and run the firmware update.
I don't believe you would be able to get a USB flash drive to boot in this condition.

There is one other method you can try.
Purchase an external USB-Floppy drive. Download the firmware on to the Floppy. Then hook the USB- Floppy to your laptop. The Floppy drive should boot when your laptop powers up and you should be able to run the firmware update.

the model # is 443694-001 if the computer do not read from the restore disc how will it be able to read from a burned bios cd and how do I make a cd and is this the same as a flash first of all I don't even know what a flash cd is it can be restoring the bios for all I know. thanks for your help but there is no way i can set the computer to boot fron cd so will he computer still pick it up? when i put the restore cd in i do here the computer reading from it so i hope it pick up the cd i make
