Polaroid " 3211 TLXB red light no power up?Ive checked for Bad Caps,on the main power supply.I found none,that were swollen or leaking.It looks good.I checked volltage out to volltage inverter.all the out points were a even 17 volts.The plug says 24v.The 12v was 10v and the 5v was 5v.Is my power supply GOOD?I no that Lodgic shuts down the system from starting.Does the interface have anything to do with this?Or do you think its a power supply?Help tv is may 2007 ouch!!!!!!!

RED LIGHT, no power will come on, I only use this TV for my PS3, so it rarly gets used. I just moved and its been connected for a few weeks. I went to use it for the first time, and NOTHING. Im very unimpressed with this peice of ****. If you are not watching 720p or higher, it looks like garbage. My dad just got a 52" LG and it still looks great in 480i. If i have to watch 480 on this Polaroid 3211-TLXB it looks so crappy, i just watch a 27"CRT and it blows this peice of **** away, hands down. Bottom line, This ******* light issuse is then end, now i have a 32" LCD POS Paper Weight, WHAT THE **** DO I DO NOW? Hi remove the supply to the main board & inverter, now power your psu if give you this same above voltages , go for new power supply unit. change your power

Fault in the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

There is no repair to this board, as the components used in the circuit will be very difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. Check this site. You need to open it up and checking the voltages in the power supply sections, you should have 5v (for logic circuits), 12v for sound, 24v for backlight inverter circuits. Look for bad caps with bulging tops in power supply also.
you have one or 2 bad caps in the power supply these can shape devices wiill have a puffed up top the value is wrtten on the side if you feel comfortable , replace them if not have a tech do it
Look on the power supply for a plug that has an id of voltages, you'll see one that says PO, that means power on, to kick the power supply up. Put you DVM on that pin and press the power button and watch the meter, you should have high activity, if it comes up to lets say 3.4 volts and falls off then the main board needs replaced. Let me know how you do!
My Polaroid TV 3211 TLXB (2007) was working fine, turned it off and now won't power up, volts on power supply are normal, red light is on. Control boxes are avaiable. Could this be the most likley problem and are they interchanable with other similsr sets. ? Thanks for any help
