Every day between 5:00 pm and 5:30 pm my ViP722k receiver freezes. The picture remains on ok but none of the remote buttons function for both remote 1 and 2. When I press and hold the power button on the receiver, it restarts and everything works ok until the next day at 5:00 pm. Is it possible that remote garage door openers can be causing interference with the receiver? This problem just started a few weeks ago but nothing has changed with my tv or other electronics.

It is possible the garage door opener is causing interference. I would just need some more information to provide you with a resolution.Because it happens on both remotes, are they both UHF? Around 5 to 5:30 PM does someone use the garage door opener? If so can you try re-creating the problem by manually using the door opener at a different time and see if it happens? You can post here with more information, and I will be sure to look into this further!Tommy FaustDISH Internet Response Team

SOURCE: Pink and blue images occasionally on power up of DISH DVR

Tell me a little more about how the receiver is connected to the tv and if this is present on both tvs at the same time and lastly what brand and model of tv you have. I recently had an issue somewhat similar to this but need more information to make an educated hypothesis.

SOURCE: Re: 322 DTV Receiver - snowy screen on tv 2

Lets check the modulator set up at the main location TV 1. Press menu - 6-1-5 this will display how the TV 2 IS SET UP. It should say 22 air and if not use the arrow keys on the remote to change that info. Once you are done click done and go to the TV2 and see if it is working. It should be if you are set to view air or antenna channels on the TV2. If not there needs to be a few more things done to isolate the issue. Let me know and we will go from there. Thhanks for using Fix Ya.

SOURCE: Dish IR Remote 20.0 has problems after sunset.

The problem for me was the TV giving off IR signals that interfered with DISH's poorly designed remote. When the TV's room ambient light sensor was turned on and it became dusk outside the DISH remote would stop working. Moving the receiver away from the TV helps but the problem is not eliminated until the light sensor is turned off.
Until DISH corrects this poor design there may be no other viable solution.

SOURCE: TV has screen saver that says Press

It sounds like the remote lost its function, you need to program it again, try this. Please press SAT at the top left of your remote for 5 seconds and then press RECORD three times. IF that does not work, access the system info from the TV1, location, readress that remote.

To readress that remote, try this. With the remote that is not working, please press and hold the SAT button. Once all the buttons light up, let go, and then press 9, then # (below 9). Press RECORD twice. Did the Remote Address change on the system info screen? If so, you are set!

SOURCE: Recently whenever we try to watch a recorded item

Guest,

Are you still having problems with your DVR receiver? Try unplugging the receiver for 10 seconds and plugging back in. The receiver will reboot and acquire satellite signal. If this doesn't fix the problem there may be an issue with the receiver. I hope this helps.

My Dstv receiver model 65 is not responding to dstv remote control model B4, what should I do?

If your DStv receiver is not responding to your remote control, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Check the batteries: Make sure that the batteries in your remote control are fresh and properly inserted. Weak batteries can cause the remote control to stop working.
  2. Reset the remote control: You can try to reset your remote control by removing the batteries, pressing any button for 5 seconds, and then reinserting the batteries.
  3. Clean the remote control: Sometimes, dust or dirt on the remote control's buttons can interfere with its functionality. Clean the buttons with a dry cloth or a slightly damp cloth to remove any buildup.
  4. Reset the DStv receiver: Try resetting your DStv receiver by unplugging it from the power source, waiting for 30 seconds, and then plugging it back in.
  5. Re-pair the remote control: If none of the above steps work, you can try re-pairing your remote control with the DStv receiver. To do this, press and hold the "Shift" and "TV" buttons on the remote control for 5 seconds, then enter the 4-digit code that corresponds to your DStv receiver.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need to replace your remote control or contact DStv customer support for further assistance.

Dish network code for receiver 722 for bose soundbar

Traci Pogue,
I would be happy to provide additional assistance on that. Unfortunately the only codes I am able to locate for that equipment are 761, and 780. This link http://www.mydish.com/support/apps/remotecodes.aspx may have additional codes you can look up or try.
If none of the codes work, and you have a 20/21.0 remote, you can utilize the learning feature to teach the remote the buttons. You can find full instructions at http://www.mydish.com/support/teach-learning-remote-20-21 . If you still need any assistance after that, let me know here. I would be happy to see what else can be done.

ViP722k receiver, continuall freezes and restarts

Hi Mike Houston of DISH Network customer service here. When the 722k freezes and restarts on and off, the receiver may be in Bootrecovery, this process can go from 45 minutes to 4 hours. If after 4 hours itstill is going on and off and with the steps you have done we would need totake a deeper look and go through the menus of the receiver.

Dish vip 622 and vip 722k frequent picture freeze and restart

Sounds like a signal strength issue. You may have either a low signal or something like a tree limb is blowing into the signal path dropping the signal strength to a point low enough to causes issues.

TV shuts off on it's on after about 20 - 30 minutes of play

freeze like the picture is in pause?

picture freezing is desired function on the remote and handled mainly by the "picture and picture" circuits. but the video that is involved and processed there is handled by many circuits and microprocessors.
what you describe is an intermittent heat related problem if you almost can set a watch to the the shut-off time. you can feel, if your a tech, what part is running hot with a finger or start freezing a suspect part with freeze spray and see if stays on long past overdue. make sure your vent holes in the back are not covered and keep the back at least 1/2 foot from the wall.
