OE is really DE (drain error). If the filter is not blocked, then check that nothing made it past the filter and into the pump impeller. Also, if the pump impeller has come loose from the pump shaft, you will have to change the pump motor. Just pushing the impeller back on will only result in it coming off again. I don't know if any adhesive on the shaft would solve that issue. I've never tried that as I didn't want a call back.
Pop the rectangular recess out from around the filter area. (putty knife at the right and left edges).
Remove phillips screws.
Tilt washer back.
Reach under washer and remove pump. (there is a tab on the bottom which locks pump onto washer base. If you break the tab, don't worry about it, the screws will hold the pump in place just fine)
Impeller does not just spin freely. It turns a third of a revolution at a time as you turn it by hand.
Remove any object or replace motor as needed. Motor held onto pump housing by three screws also. If you would have posted model number I would have listed part number.

Getting a "oe" error how

See

The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.

Check the drain hose for blockage. and see if the water filters is clogged. Specific instructions will vary based on your specific LG model. Most LG frontloaders have an access panel on the front for the water filter.

Washer wont drain displays OE. Pump makes a vibrating sound lie it is plugged already checked filter cleaned it removed hose how do you replace the pump?

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

OE is a drain error and is displayed when the washer is unable to drain water. Please check the drain hose and drain pump filter for any clogs to clean the error. If the issue returns then yes you should replace the pump, please check this repair manual on how to replace the pump. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

What should I do?

Hi

Error OE means drain error, this occurs when the draining doesn't occur within 10 minutes. This happens due to clogging of drain hoses and drian filter. It can also occur when the drain pump is clogged. To check where the issue is you'll need to disassemble the washer and check for the drain pump, remove alll the hoses connected to it and clean all the debris. The pump is behind the filter screen on lower left front side of the washer. Also clean the drain filter and remove any possible clogs.

This error may also appear when the drain hose is not installed properly. The drain hose should not be installed more than 1 meter higher than the bottom of the washing machine. Please post back for any further assistance.

My washing machine showing an OE error before end of cycle

OE error is noyhing but an Outlet Error.. OE simply means “the pump is blocked”. Clean and straighten the drain hose / clean the drain filter. Check the hoses (drain hose) and the pump filter but if it didn't cure the problem then turn the thing upside down and strip the pump out of it check if anything is caught in the impellor.. if so remove it and everything will be fine..

My lg intellowasher wd1290 error code OE

I think your "OE" is really a "DE" or drain error. Open the access door on the lower left of the front panel on the machine, drain the remaining water with the small drain hose there, and unscrew and remove the larger thing, which is a filter. Clean filter. If filter was not blocked, check for loose impeller on drain pump motor, which requires replacement of drain pump motor. (just sticking it back on will result in it coming off again)
If this helps, a "fixya" rating would be appreciated. Thanks.

You do not have an "OE" error, you have a "DE" error. DE error is "drain error" which displays if the washer has not pumped out after 10 minutes. If there is water in the machine and no obstruction in the filter I would suspect that the pump impeller is bad, and you would need a new pump motor. (part # 4681EA2001D) Pump motor is located directly to the left of the filter, and can be accessed by tilting the washer back and reaching it from underneath. The pump housing is held onto the machine by three phillips head screws.

If you have "DE" error and there is no water in the machine that's a whole different problem I'll address if you say that's the case.

If you need good service, try calling a small dealer who sells and services the procuct line you are having a problem with. You can find LG servicers at us.lgservice.com but avoid the utility companies, A & E, Sears, and all the big guys who try to service every brand but often times are not very familiar with your brand.

That should help. Carl S., factory authorized LG technician for over 10 years.
