HDMI XBOX360 Elite -"No Signal"

Please add details of setup so I can help you. For example. My Directv box hooks into my HDTV HDMI. Sound is carried inside that cable. I then get sound on my TV from my Directv RCVR without any other hookup. But I do have more. I use an optical cable to go into my Denon 1312 TV/optical input. Since my Wii, PS3, VCR, and formerly Xbox360 all plug into the HDTV inputs and I use it to switch. The Denon is not HDMI capable so this is best for me.

This is the first thing I would try. hook the HDMI to your HDTV from the CATV/SAT box and turn up the sound on the TV. [Box and TV on and correct input used] If you hear audio, the hook it back up as before. Now, turn on the Denon to radio. and turn it up. Got sound?
NO: check speakers and speaker setting. Let's say you have speakers hooked to A but not B. is the selector on B or AB. That won't work. It has to match the hookup. If speakers are on A only, select A only, etc. Also check with known good speakers. Also check all cables to be plugged into the correct spot and plugged in fully.

Look for an audio out on your TV to connect a cable from it to your Denon. You say your TV has no speakers then you say they are built in? which is it? If your TV and the Denon have an HDMI port, use an HDMI cable to connect the two.

might want to check the cable, if you are not getting light from the xbox360 most likely you have changed something on the TV. make sure its on the right setting

HDMI device has to be on first in some cases.

make sure the plug is good and well connected.
restart the xbox360 and try again.
try the xbox on another hdmi device to see if it working.
or try the regular mode of the xbox.

Thanks for clarifying that for me. The simple answer is the Denon home theater isn't able to convert the signal from your Bell receiver into an HDMI compatible format. You'll need to use either S-Video or the regular yellow cable to connect your Home theater to the television. The HDMI out provided would only work for the internal DVD player. This is a limitation of HDMI, not a problem with your home theater. You need HDMI in (or DVI in) to get HDMI out.

i seem to have a similar problem with my Denon AVR 4310CI . The output to my LCD TV just went green . On checking with some people , they suggested resetting . it didnt work . Any probable reasons

with Denon you have to go into the menu and "assign" the inputs.

You have to select if you are using HDMI, s-video composite etc.

If your unit has upconverting remember that it will upconvert a s-video signal to HDMI but not the other way around.

HDMI is a digital signal composite, s-video etc are analog therefore you could not use the HDMI output from your PS3 but then use the red, blue green composite outputs from your receiver to run to your tv.

Purchase an HDMI cable, connect one end to the back of your 360 elite, connect the other to the back of your television. Power up your 360. If there are other issues, please let me know and I will do my best to assist you

If there is the same number of pins and you can find the drivers for it than it could be possible.

The best way to use the Denon and get your money's worth is to connect all devices to the Denon using HDMI connects if possible, if you use HDMI make sure you assign the audio if needed.

Make sure both the xbox and tv are on and tv is on HDMI source. It won't recognize each other unless xbox is turned on and tv is set to the correct source.
