Acer Aspire One ZG5 AOA 110-Bb, not booting up / detecting with 8GB SD Card

I am stuck with a client's Acer Aspire One ZG5 AOA 110-Bb, It was on Windows XP on 8GB Expansion SD Card. I took that card off to backup all the contents on it. After that, i tried many times but its not booting it with that 8GB SD Card, even though its working fine on my desktop computer. Is there any solution?

When you boot the netbook, press the F2 key and go in to the BIOS settings and check what you have configured in the Boot options / sequence - ensure that the SD card is installed when you power on the netbook and see if it is an available boot device that can be selected in the boot sequence.

Kalim, are you inserting the SD card into the correct card slot, i.e. the expansion card slot on the left side not the multi-card reader on the opposite side?

According to the Acer Support web site the Aspire One cannot boot from a SD card so you will need to give more details of exactly what problem you are having when booting this netbook.

The documentation for the Acer Aspire One AOA110 can be found via this link.

E-mail them. They have Flat Flex Ribbon Cables, from 0,5mm to 2,5mm pitch, and 3 to 40 conductors - so they have the cable you are looking for. Please rate me :)

Bios and, or, windows passwords

Google search for "Hirens.BootCD.15.2"
Its free and with it you can boot your computer and view, delete, or change any password on your computer without turning a single screw on your machine, even repair windows problems that are normally a dead issue.
Your bios administrator password, boot password or even HDD password,
Also all your windows or Linux log on or boot passwords
I am currently uploading the cd to my filesanywhere account and will make it downloadable for you if needed, just ask

Acer one aoa 110 power light comes on only

Remove the battery and see if it will boot from just the power cord.
If not, reseat the ram and see if that helps. Otherwise, it might be a bad power supply.

Can't find the equivalent model numbers for Aspire One ZG5

From ACER FAQs:

The Aspire One systems labeled with the model ZG5 are actually an Aspire One AOA110 or an Aspire One AOA150. Any information will be listed under AOA110 and AOA150, rather than ZG5.
The supportmodel number is located on the bottom of the netbook on a white label above the serial number. Alternatively, the support model number will be located in the BIOS which can be entered by pressing the F2 key when turning the netbook on. Once in the BIOS it will be under the Information tab to the right of Product Name

Won't boot indicater lights blink 4 times

does it do anything with ac power and battery removed ,same flashhing? if it does the flashing this is a hardware failure of some kind. just because it flashs 4 times may or may not lead to the true cause . if you have a extra memory stick , i would try using 1 stick at a time if your laptop uses 2 sticks.
Now if it does nothing at all you may have a power adaptor or dc jack problem .
