Factory Reset for JVC LT-32X18 Initial Power On

I had opened a problem last night with a support guy called "welcomejee" but the Laptop I was using flaked out on me, Girlfriend's son's.??? What I need is to get the TV back to the factory default for initial power on. The manual intructs you to choose either Area 1 or Area 2 and then there are different options and procedures for what Area your in. The big problem is the manual doesn't really give you any real information about differences between the two. Area 1 looks like mainly US and Canada but Area 2 is Russia, Eastern Europe and SouthEastr Asia. Since I am in the United Kingdom I went with Area 2 as it defaulted to it when that screen was displayed but now I can't get it to autoscan and find any channels and you can only manual search and fine tune using the Area 1 option. This is a multi-system TV connected to a SKY Plus Digital Cable box via a coax cable from the RF1 Out port to the back of the flat screen. I'm an IT guy with a company called General Dynamics and have lived here in the UK for 11 years, I'm familiar with Video setup and know how to tune in a TV over here and what connections are required, my only problem is I don't know how to get this particular JVC TV back to origianal factory settings so I can start over with the Area 1 option as the Area 2 won't find any channels and after troubleshooting it it seems the solution is to use Area 1.

Try a hard reset first - Unplug TV from power source and remove all cable for about an hour. Then reconnect everything and see if it works..Let me know how it goes.

I Have a 2year old JVC LT 24c340 HD which switches off after about 15 minutes , then after a minute or two the standby light comes I have reset the 'TV to factory mode but it still switches off

warranty requirements , on hidden defects.
no defects are expected within 4 years for just domestic use.
call your dealer , write to the importer, about the fault its not a JVC point to make products for only 2 years lifetime.

How do you reset a JVC Emerald TV model EM37T. Power light comes on then Dims but no picture. It was working last night. This TV has no controls on Side, only the inputs and the power button.

There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

I am trying to programme my jvc television and I am wondering what does std means.

I have a problem with JVC Plasma TV having a split-screen and i can't get rid of it. Last night an on-line guy told me how to do it with a remote...but we don't have an OEM remote so the reset button does not work(neither does the OK button) and then another guy told us to push the reset buittton on the back twice. Well, we got the TV down and can't find the reset button...or is it on the back of the TV turner?
Does anyone out their have another suggestion?
btw, the cover of the TV looks like it has about 40 screws on the back..

JVC LT-42E488. No picture. JVC logo comes up for a few seconds.

A firmware update might fix it. Call an authorized servicer, explain the symptom.
