I would think that you are using the built-in camera memory, by default it will allow 3 pics.
You need to go to the menu, choose setup and on the 3rd page is Format. Format your memory card

8mg...way to small! That is the same as the internal memory of the camera...and it will hold only 3 photos as well. Simple solution...but a bigger sd card. A 1gb sells for only 5-6 dollars now ebay if you look.

Says internal memory is full, and I 've only taken one pic?

SAVE YOUR PIC TO YOUR COMPUTER , REMOVE THE MEMORY CARD AND IN THE SETTINGS SECTION FORMAT THE MEMORY. THIS HAS TO SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM. BETTER USE A MEMORY CARD TO TAKE PICTURES.

My flip camera says its empty but when I try to record it says its full??

Your memory card may think it's full if you've been deleting pics from it when it's in your PC and not in the camera.

If you've offloaded all the pics you want to from your memory card, put it back in your camera and "reformat" the card - there should be instructions how to do this in your camera manual. (If you've misplaced your manual you can likely find an online version on the website of your camera manufacturer). Hopefully this will fix your problem.

From now on, (even if you have to buy a new memory card), don't do any editing or deleting of pics directly on the memory media while it is in your PC (or Mac). Offload your pics to a file of their own on the PC (you can edit pics from that file). Then put the memory card back into the camera, verify that you did indeed successfully offload the pics to the PC (with the media card out of the PC), then delete the pics from the card while it's in the camera.

Reformat the memory card periodically (in the camera) after you've offloaded your pics (reformatting will erase all pics so you've gotta be sure you captured them elsewhere) to maintain the 'health' & full functionality of your memory card.

thanks.

Memory full

Is this on the card, or internal memory?
If it is the card, then reformat it. That should solve the problem.

Memory cards for ex-z60

HI! FROM ALL MY RESEARCH FROM VARIOUS CASIO SITES, I HAVE FOUND THAT THE EX-Z60 CAN NOT USE THE NEW SDHC CARD. SORRY, BUT THE EX-Z60 CAN ONLY USE MMC OR SD CARDS. THE EX-Z60 BK &SR MODELS CAN USE THE SDHC CARDS. THERE ARE MANY 2GB SD ULTIMATE CARDS THAT HAVE FAST READ TIMES THAT MIGHT HELP. IF YOU NEED MORE HELP, REPLY TO ARCLIGHT1217. IF THIS HAS BEEN HELPFUL,PLEASE RATE! THANKS!

Card Error

firstly don't use the card, don't try and take any further pictures.

If you don't have a card reader, buy one, there under $20 and make the job of downloading so much quicker.

If you get an error with the memory card on your computer there are many programs that can help you recover faulty formatted or corrupt memory cards. Do a search on google and try a few as some are better than others and some work better in certain situations than others.

Corrupted Memory Card

I wish you the very best of luck..

EX-Z850 Casio Camera

Same problem. My camera is 3 weeks old. I dropped it at a short distance onto a wooden floor and it immediately said my memory card was locked. I took the memory card out, it was not locked. I tried 4 different cards and they all say the same thing. If I take the memory card out, the camera runs fine on internal memory, but only holds about 8 pics. I've tried everything. Please help!!

Card read error

Make sure it's a Sandisc, Toshiba, or Panasonic memory card. No bigger than 2 MB unless you have done a firmware upgrade. Try formatting memory card and if that doesn't work then you will have to get a different memory card.

Casio ex-z60 cannot read memory card

Make sure that the SD card you are using is either a SanDisc, Toshiba, or Panasonic. Those are the only cards that have been tested with Casio cameras. Also make sure that you format the card WITH THE CAMERA before you try and use it the first time. If it still doesn't work I would try resetting the camera and then you should have no problem.
