If you call one n (as you did), the other is 2n-3000. The sum of the two is 91500. Thus
2n+n-3000=91500. Combine the terms with n to get 3n, Add 3000 to both sides (members) of the equation. Finally
3n=91500+3000=94500 . Divide both members by 3 to get
n=94500/3=31500
The other is 2n-3000=2(31500)-3000=60000.

    Some calculators have a solver that you can use to solve linear and nonlinear equations, However, since you no not disclose the brand or model number, nobody will be able to tell you how to set it up. Sorry.

How can i program the counter to count bills totaling one hundred...for example one hundred ones and restarts

The Batch button allows you to count bills in batches from 1 - 999. For example, if you want to sort into piles of 100 bills, the machine will count 100 bills, then stops. Once you remove those 100 bills, it will continue to count the next batch of 100 bills, then stops again. The machine is preset to common counting mode, To count bills in batches, press BATCH. Batching is preset to 100 bills. To change batch amount, press C to clear, and use the keypad to enter a batch number between 1 and 999. Press SET to save the setting.

Electricity bill coding in java

First think how you would solve this problem yourself on a piece of paper. Then try programming it using the things you learned (if they've given you this assignment without teaching you to multiply, subtract and use if's, drop the course).
Well here is an idea.

Take the total kilowattage and send it to a function. What the function will do is subtract 14KW from the total Kilowattage and add the amount for the first 14KW then subtract 85KW from the total KW and add the amount for the 85KW. But once you subtract the number of KW from the total make sure to check if the total KW isn't negative, if so just break out of the function and return the total due.

Or if you have formula for how much the rate grows over how many miles.

For example lets say the rate grows by $1 every time the KW doubles you could have something like

int rate = 1; //Begining rate
int KW = 14; //First flat rate
int amount; //total amount they have to pay
while(totalKW > 0)
{
totalKW -= KW; //subtract the first rate
if(totalKW <= 0) //check if too much subtracted
break; //if so break
amount += rate; //add the rate to the total

rate += 1; // Add $1 to the rate every time
KW *= 2; // KW is doubled
}

BT phone and broadband from sky...ok i cant make or receive phone calls.bt say that they checked the line and it shows no faults..ive tried different phones on line but no joy, interactive on sky box also...

Not a total solution, but a reason , perhaps.

I have both BroadBand and Telephone from BT.

In the past they always billed you with one bill. also if your phone was cut off due to lack off payment so the BB went off also.

they have now split their billing system - and services- into two separate identities, meaning that the phone could be cut off for calls yet your Broadband will still work and vice versa.

So, i would say the problem lies with BT , even though you have ordered your BB from Sky they still have to ask BT to setup your service at the exchange. It seems that they have not checked your service for both BB and phone.

I recently had my phone cut off (BT's 'direct debit 'accident'!) but my BB worked throughout the fortnight it took them to resolve where my paid bill money was!..

So. Call your main service provider (that would be Sky if you get no bills from BT) and tell them your phone service has most certainly NOT been activated.

I recently spent 17 hours over 3 days speaking to 23 customer assistants, before reaching a manager who resolved a similar issue for me at BT.

Under their new setup BB personel cannot see your phone account and phone personel cannot see your BB account - and we get charged over 1/3rd more for this mayhem . their reason explained to me as "having everything on one bill was confusing some customers so you now have two accounts and two bills for everything" !!

your socket is fine as you have enough connection for BB which takes more bandwidth than a voice line.

Basically you have some corporate customer service red tape to hack through.

Good luck
