Hi I clear the CMOS , accidently, by putting the jumper in the motherboard, and after that I see that the system is behaving differently. Firstly it was high speed CPU fan running and that I adjusted the...

Since you cleared the CMOS, all of your bios settings are reset to the factory defaults. This means you'll have to go back and configure everything in your BIOS that differed from the default settings. You should be able to specify your external hard drive in the BIOS if you're using e-sata. As for the PCI modem problem, there might be a setting in the BIOS again. I would recommend updating the BIOS, but a CMOS clear shouldn't revert to an older BIOS version, so I'm leaning towards a hidden setting somewhere. I've never had any problems with PCI devices, so I'm not too familiar with BIOS settings relating to that. If you can't find anything and your PCI modem still isn't working, a BIOS update might fix that. Just be careful updating your BIOS, because if you mess up in any way and don't back it up your computer may be reduced to a large metal endtable. Hope this helps.

Remove the hdd and try again. If now you can enter the BIOS and check that everything is correctly recognized and configured then the hdd has died, replace it. If it's the same then start by checking the power source, followed by the memory and the CPU. If all these are functioning then the problem is in the motherboard itself - unfixable, replace it.
