Trying to install HP Photosmart c4340 got following error message: Error 1935 referred to "fatal error" and "msl scan"

I had this problem also and came to find out that in order to scan, you have to go into your "PAINT" and go to "FILE" and scroll down to "FROM SCANNER OR PRINTER" and then follow the instructions. It works!

make sure its compatible with computer before installing because you computer need to recognize the printer after you pluged the printer with computer

Download and install the latest windows install from microsoft.com - then go to your printer manufacturing site and download the latest driver. i would almost bet you have an HP printer.

1. Go on HP website
2. Go the Support and Drivers
3. Select Download drivers and software (and firmware)
4. Type in Photosmart C4480
5. Select Operating System "Microsoft Windows Vista"
6. Select HP Photosmart Full Feature Software and Drivers
7. Click "Download Only"

You might need some additional program. Click the link above(or copy & paste). Might need .NET Framework 1.1 or it might just be some bugs in Vista that is not compatible with the program your trying to install. Vista still has some problems.
