your screen has been damaged --I assume it is LDC. check with the manufacturer if you have a warranty to see if it can be replaced. The LDC screen is layered ..soft outer layer, fluid inner layer and back is a reflective hard panel. This is what is damaged.

What 2 cycle lights? Samsung dishwashers indicate problems and errors by making different lights light up and/or flash. We would need to know the model number too.

Do you have a copy of SMASH BROS BRAWL? If so, try it and see if it works.

Usually if every game is working EXCEPT one, it's a problem with the game. However, on the Wii, most games are single layer. Smash Bros Brawl is one game I know for sure is double layer. Some Wiis have problems playing double layer discs.

If everything is working OK including Smash Bros Brawl, I would return the disc and get an exchange for another one. You may have gotten a defective disc.

have you checked to see if the bobbin is in the bobbin case correctly
is it still under warrenty? you might want to take back to the place you bought it from & let them check it

You need:
* a DVD-writer that can burn dual-layer,
* a "blank" disk that supports dual-layer writing,
* software that supports dual-layer writing.

Got all these? Which software? What brand of DVD-writer? What brand of DL media?

Hi. There is a change in focus by the laser for a dual layer DVD - the laseer has to read through a semi-transmissive layer for that extra information too.

Cleaning your laser lens with a cleaning disc kit may bring it bck to life especially if you smoke... else could be time for a new laser(s)

YOu may have bent the needle. Put in a new needle and re-thread the whole machine. See if that works.

This is usually because some games are on DVD media and some are on CD media. CD's are single layer media while DVD's are multi layer media. This means it is easier to read a CD than it is to read a DVD. The concept of a DVD is to have several semi transparent layers of data. It is sort of like taking a few CD's stacking them together and smooshing them into a single disc. To read the 2-4 layers of data you must ignore the previous layers and pay attention to ones deeper in the disc. DVD drive might be going out 360 dvd drives do go out more then they should.

This is in no way a proper technical answer, but certain DVD burners like specific brands of media, I have heard this for years and it's true, but you seem to have tried several types of media brands. I would try a -R, from Verbatum, if that doesn't work take it back and try a different model, you have done everything that you are supposed to.I found that the -R works best for me in my desktop and laptop, one is Lightscribe other is not, the -R works best for me.

My unit will format single layer DVD but not double layer. Anybody have a solution ?
