Kodack i640 jam led lit - Kodak i640 Path-Through Scanner

The tank led's indicate full...all on, 3/4 full when 3 leds are lit, 1/2 full when 2 are lit and 1/4 full when one led is lit. No leds indicate an empty tank. The battery gauge operates the same way.

By the way, what is the make and model of your printer?

1. Resetting the Drum Page Counter
   • 1 Toggle switch in back of the printer. Shut off the printer.
     
   • 2 Front door opened Hold down the "Continue" button while opening the front door. Then turn on the printer.
     
   • 3 Error LED lit Keep the Continue button held down until only the "Error LED" is on then release the button. Close the door.
     
   • 4 Top 3 LEDs lit. The Continue button, Ready/Data, Toner Low, and Load Paper LEDs should all be lit up.
     
   • 5 Toner low LED lit. Press "Cancel" a few times to cycle through the LEDs until just the "Toner Low LED" is lit.
     
   • 6 Press and hold the "Continue" button until the LEDs cycle through and release only when the LED stops at Toner Low.
     
   • 7 Turn the printer off and back on.

To reset the drum message:
Open the front door
Press and hold down the white button for about 4 seconds. Once all 4 LEDs are lit, release the button.
Close the front cover. Make sure that the Drum LED is now off.

Hi,
Take the Tray 2 out and check if all the paper guides are moving freely if they are than remove the toner cartridge and check if any toner sensor is not align correctly.
If they are aligned correctly than next to the pickup roller there is a small piece of plastic make sure it should be hanging freely if it is than we need to perform cold reset of the printer.
Switch off the printer press and hold down the go button and switch the printer on keep holding down go button till the time three lights lit up on control panel, as soon as three lights lits up release the go button and let the printer initialise of it s own.
If that doesn't fix than Formatter Board of the printer is faulty.
Logic:
If there is no paper jam and printer rep[orts the jam means either any of the sensors is not aligned correctly and reporting the jam or formatter Board(Motherboard) of the printer is faulty and showing incorrect display.

Judging by my personal experience with these printers...if there really is no paper jam, you are most likely looking at a bad formatter board. Very common issue with these printers.

Ok. You can start the Scan Val. Tool. There is a File with the Error Codes. Please let me know the Code.

Your talking about the LED with a horseshoe Icon. This LED should be green and it means the printer is ready to print if this the only LED lit.
If this LED is flashing, it means its processing some print job or is printing something.

LED pattern Possible Problems and Solutions
Your system has some problems. If this problem occurs,
contact your service representative.
On Line/Error LED
lights red
• Paper jam occurs. To solve the problem, see “Clearing
Paper Jams” on page 5.6.
• The front cover is open. Close the front cover.
• Paper tray is empty. Load the paper in the Tray.
• The toner cartridge is out of toner. Remove the old toner
cartridge and install a new one. See “Installing the Toner
Cartridge” on page 2.4.
• You pressed the Cancel button while the printer is
receiving data.
• In Manual Feed mode, there is no paper in the manual
tray. Load paper into the manual tray.
• If the printer is receiving data, the On Line/Error LED
slowly blinks green.
• If the printer is printing the received data, the On Line/
Error LED blinks green fast.
