Phone doesn't recognize SD memory card

what kind of phone?

2 possible problems (1) your computer is not recognizing the slots which
means download new drivers or (2) our memory card is locked on most cards there is a little switch on the side lock and unlock

Try to insert the card first to your computer that has a memory card slot reader. If the computer did not recognize the card then the problem is the card already.

insert your memory card into 6120c select setting > data mgr > memory > option> format your memory card

Erase unnecessary data on you phone memory,even you have a lot of space on you SD card,still the phone memory need to maintain enough memory to perform or play the music,check your phone memory free space and save at 2MB and for sure it will gonna play the music.

I put in sd card and it says processing and does nothing wont even go off you have to open the battery place but it will take pic with no sd card in it on the internal memory

Yes you need a new SD card, it is rare but happens where the SD card malfunctions and it is not read by the camera, it happened to me and I put in a new card and it worked find.

From the menu, go to gallery. Select it. You would see memory card, scroll to the memory card. Select options > format.
After it has been formated, select options > rename, and give it a name u want it 2 b identified with.
To transfer the contents of the phone to the card,
mark them > moved marked > select destination
then you scroll your gallery to d memory card.
Select the memory card, and you have your phone contents transferred.

This phone can only recognize memory up to 2GB... your 4 gig is to large and your phone wont recognize sdhc card........ replace card with a standard 2 GB micro SD card and enjoy.

You have to format your micro SD memory card with your phone first before you can download files to it. With the micro SD memory card in your phone.
1)go to menu 2) go to settings & tools 3)go to memory 4)select card memory 5)***SELECT OPTIONS*** ---this will ask you if you want to format your card select YES, if there is a phone password it would be your last 4 digits of your number.

Now eject the memory card from you phone. Now when you put the memory card to your computer you should see the sub menus...my pics..my videos...my music...my sounds. Now all you have to do is just click and drag your music and photos to these folders.

Then when you add the memory card to your phone it will see all the music, photos, etc...
