Message light doesn't work

My message light doesn't light up to tell me I have a message on my Vodavi 2801 phone. I have to lift up the receiver and hear a pulsing tone to know I have a message. Is there anyway to make the message light light up?

    My message indicator light doesn't light up to show I have a message. I have to pick up the receiver and hear a pulsating tone to know I have a message waiting. HELP!!

you need to go in to system admin of the phone system, the redo the 440 feature. for proper instructions on this, you might need the admin manual. you may post back for further help if this doesn't get you set. thanks
