Samsung media studio wont recognize it,
my pc wont see it in every way, just charge battery
ive tried two or three solutions from fixya and nothing works
but my friends pc see it as a simple flash drive and i transfer my music from him... still thats not an option.
ive instaled SMS and as it seems, if you go to menu>help>view suported portable devices the YP-U3 isnt there...
Please help, im downloading the update from SMS, maybe it helps, but im not too optimistic... Do you have anu practical solution?

Ive loaded software for our YP-T7F mp3 player on our laptop which uses windows vista o/s. All ok except when we shut down the computer and start up again,we connect the mp3 with the usb cable. Usually this...

Is there a save settings button in the software, or perhaps a save settings function in the menu or preferences? Look for something similar to "Save settings."

Samsung yp s3 doesnt work on xp

I have Windows XP and Media Player 10.

I had same problem with Samsung media studio not recognizing MP3 player. Here is how I fixed it. With the MP3 plugged in, I had to go into System/ Hardware/Device Manager and find the S3 driver under "Windows portable Media" and uninstall it. Then unplug and replug the S3 into the usb so that driver gets reinstalled.

Then I decided windows media player and samsung media studio are unnecessary for transferring music files to MP3 player.

Instead I go into Portable Media Devices from the control panel and just treat the MP3 player like a usb device. I copy folders of music and songs into the Music folder on the MP3. For me this is way easier than the Samsung music studio or Windows Media player.

USB connection problem

my YP-U3 player will not connect via my USB port. When plugged in to a port that connects my digital camera normally it first says on screen "USB Connecting" then changes after 2 to 3 seconds to "disconnected - Charging". it has fully charged and no change. I have checked the hold switch is disengaged. the media studio software is installed ok and the portable devices functions are greyed out. I cannot find the device on my pc. I am running Windows XP SP2. I will be returning it to the store where it was purchased very soon if i cannot find a solution. I notice there are a lot of people who have posted similar problems that have not recieved solutions.ya i have th same problem im using window xp 2

Problems uploading song

Try using Windows Media Player 10 or 11 to put music on instead of the samsung media studio.

Connect your MP3 player then go into Windows Media Player, if you haven't got the latest Media Player download here - CLICK HERE

Once you've installed it connect your mp3 player then open Windows Media Player up then click on the link called "Sync", now your on there it should show your device in the top right of the screen, now all you need to do is drag and drop music you want on your mp3 play where it says "Drag items here", once you've finished choosing songs to put on just click "Start Sync", that's it.

And for future reference you can format using Windows Media Player as well.

Good luck. Hope my solution was helpful in some way.

Samsung u600 usb connection wizard

PC Studio for Vista can be found on the Samsung Website. Series is "U series" and model, of course, is U600. As for installation, as Samsung suggests, make sure that the phone is NOT connected to the USB port at ANY POINT prior to the completion of the installation. Install the software as normal. Then, after it has finished installing, open up PC Studio and plug in your phone. At this point, the software SHOULD recognize that the phone has been connected after setting it up to use USB connection in the “Connection Manager” (Click “File”, “Connection”).
If it is still not recognizing the device after plugging It in, or if it displays a message along the lines of “USB Device Not Recognized” KEEP THE PHONE PLUGGED IN TO THE USB, Go into the Control Panel in the Start Menu and open up the Device Manager. At the very bottom of the list of hardware etc, there will be a selection for “Universal Serial Bus controllers”, expand this menu and look for an item called something like “Unknown USB device”. Double click on the device and go to the “Driver” tab (I think you have to press a button on the first screen that appears in order to get to the menu driver tab. Although I can’t remember what was written on it, there was only one there). When in the Driver tab, click on “Update Driver”. Now on the wizard that appears, click on “Browse my computer for driver software” then, ignoring the rest of the page, click on “Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer”. Uncheck the selection box “Show compatible hardware” and scroll down the list of Manufacturers until you get to “Samsung”. Now, if you’ve installed PC Studio, you should see four separate selections for “Samsung”. Click on the fourth manufacturer selection and you should see “SAMSUNG Mobile USB Device” as a Model selection, select it and click “Next” (If, 1, you don’t see “SAMSUNG Mobile USB Device” at all, then just browse the other three Samsung based manufacturers or, if 2, you have more than one entry of “SAMSUNG Mobile USB Device” then select the top one”. Also, if Windows comes up with any warnings about installing device drivers, just ignore them). Windows will now update the driver (It actually updates three drivers). If you open up PC Studio the phone should now be recognized as connected (Assuming your prior setting up of the Connection Manager to use USB).
Good Luck.
