Kingston 2 GB data traveler

I am not able to access my data traveler(pendrive) .
whenever i connect my pendrive to computer .i cant format the drive.n the computer stops responding. i.am not able open it nor xplore it

I doubt the one u have is a chinese made one (the original comes in a packet sealed whereas the chinese one comes in an openable packet with flap).I have found that most of the kingston pendrives in India are chinese made one of very low price. If u r using the original one, then might be ur pendrive is plugged in the usb drive with USB1.0 (low speed USB). install the latest usb2.0 driver n then try to open again.

1...Plug your Kingston data traveler in to your computer
2...Go to desktop and open "My Computer"
3. You will see your Kingston Data Traveler listed there
4...Right click on the Data Traveler
5...Click on "Format"

Once the pendrive has been connected to the pc...telling to install drive traveler........wat is that? how to rectifiy that problem.

If u have no data in the pendrive, u must format it w/ ur comp system, otherwise u may ask the manufacturer the application fto run ur pendrive for ur comp!

Cant open cant formate my flash

hmmm....hello friends...your pen drive is corrupted...its better to change this pen drive because kingston pen drive is in 5 yr warrenty period... so dont wrry and change it.....or you can try this pen drive to any other computer ...if behaviour is same then i would request to you , change pendrive as soon as possible

I have worked through this problem. It is a new virus attack. you should get your antivirus updated and then get your drive cleaned. It surely will help you solving your problem.

since the device uses usb power there is no way that you might be able to retrive data if the computer wants to format it.

MFC ERROR

You try another systems like defrent oprating system and difrent congirations some times some of the os are not suported to run the pendrives. check the pendrive when you fit the usb port.
