Samsung YP U2 loads 20% and then turns off, my pc doesn't recongnize the mp3, it only charges

I've found several YP-U2J (not just YP-U2) MP3 players listed by Samsung support. Alternatively, start at http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads . Select Media Players under Mobile. Then select MP3 Players and finally the model. Then look for the Manuals & Downloads tab.

You should do firmware update. But you gonna need WINXP to run best the firmware. Go to Samsung site to download the firmware and the tutorial how to.

i have the samsung yp-u2 b 512mb mp3 player but now no power and i do't about it frimware ver

YP u2 J is only audio player? Can it be used to store pictures from pc and tranfer them to digital picture frame?

there's probably a virus in ur mp3 player.. jus insert it into usb n run a scan...

The solution could be one of the following according to ur problems:

1. If u are using a usb hub, it might not be getting enough power to get charged.
2. Check if the hold key is activated, if so the player wont turn on. The hold key is adjacent to the side of the volume '-' key.

You might have formatted it to NTFS. Try reformatting it to FAT.

And if the device is getting recognized on ur PC, ur USB port might be damaged. If not, u might need to go to the CC again.

Upgrading your firmware will fix the problem
