Yes, Red and Black are supposed to be your Load wires (110) each then green for ground which should be white..Before I wire it up use a tester and make sure that is what is going on.

Help with wiring for a drop in stove top

This is not to code. The white is neutral and is of the same polarity as a bare wire. The red and the black are considered hot and would be 220.

My house wires from the electic stove top has 3 wires and my new bosch electric top has 4 on red, white, green, yellow?

hook the red and yellow off the new stove to the two hot phases-then connect the white on the new unit to the neutral power connection and finally the green wire can hook to the same neutral wire also as long as the power comes directly from the main electrical panel in the home, but not a sub-panel

3 wire cook top to a 4 wire outlet

Older 3 wire connectors where Wht=Neutral Ground Return, Red=One Phase Hot, Blk=Second Phase Hot, of 220VAC stove connections.

Newer Electrical code standard has a forth wire that is bare copper for a separate safety ground return.
I suggest you but a 4 wire pig tail cable for your stove top, available at Depot or Lowes, and connect 3 wires of this 4 wire cable just like the 3 wires are now connected. The 4th bare copper safety is attached to any metal part of the stove. Find a screw you can loosen to wrap it around and tighten.

Stove top in lock mode

Hold your finger or thumb on the red light for a few seconds, and you will hear three beeps. This tells you that the lock is off. If the light is not on, do the same and there will be three beeps, and the light will come on, telling you that the lock is back on.

Jenn air electric range wiring diagram

In a normal house, black and red are the hot wires and are wired to a circuit breaker or fuse at the panel box. White goes to the ground bar. Sometimes the white(neutral) is seperated from the ground. Sometimes they can be connected together. At the fuse box they both go to the silver ground bar. If you are attaching a cord and plug purchase one to match the outlet you have. Usually at the terminal block the hot wires are on the outside. Neutral in the middle. At the terminal block there is a metal strap or wire going from the center terminal to the frame of the stove. If the cord you have is just 3 wires leave it. If the cord you have uses 4 wires remove the strap and connect it seperately to the green or ground wire on the cord.

Electric stove top

Follow the wire, It should go to a junction box within 4 feet. It may be behind a cabinet. Remove the box cover and unscrew the wire nuts. It usually uses armored wire and this is clamped to the box. Release the clamp . Turn off breaker or remove the 2 fuses first.
