This is caused from a power cut or by the door being opened during a mid cycle.Or from a power cut.

This dishwasher does not have an internal fuse in it unfortunately. Check for power to the dishwasher and if it definitely has 120 volts you need to order and replace the touch control at the top of your door on the dishwasher. This part common fails and cuts power to the entire unit.

Hello- This series MDB7130 is involved in a recall. Check Maytag website for details. If affected, they will offer 75$ toward a new maytag.... or a free service call to 'retrofit' a new wiring harness. These units have caused a number of  fires so disconnect power until issue is resolved.- Let me know if this info helps. Thanks- Ed

check the house power supply to the dishwasher. If that isn't the problem, replace the switch control, part # 99001611

Make sure there's power getting to the dishwasher. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the dishwasher (inside the junction box, behind the bottom kick panel), if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replace

if power to the dishwasher is OK, then the door latch may be the problem. You need to unplug the unit, remove the inside cover to the door and check the door latch switches (may be a pair) with an ohm meter for continuity. Each switch is a make/break connection. If that is OK, the problem could be a power connector to the control circuit board that could be loose.

Check for broken wire(s) in the harness at the bottom of the front door (near hinge) where it transits from the inside of door to the lower motor compartment. (Design defect causes metal to cut the harness)
