I have the same problem with my LG VU on Rogers in Toronto. I don't think there is a solution to this, as simply turning off the keylock feature only works when the phone is idle. You could try an excellent site for the VU, but you will probably need to mess around with the phone's software using Bitpim, which voids the manufacurers warranty.

Just so you know on unlocked phones it is likely that some of the functions you prolly won't be able to work but if you go onto your proveder in canadas web sight then they should have some directions there on how to change the settings for those functions to work

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND KEPT ON MESSING WITH THE 4G MEMORY CARD AND FOUND OUT THAT I HAD TO FORMAT THE MEMORY CARD ON MY COMPUTER AND NOW IT READS THE CARD..ON THE SIDE OF THE SD ADAPTER HAS A SLIDING PIECE THAT SAVES YOU FROM DELETING THINGS ACCIDENTALLY BUT IF YOU SLIDE IT INTO THE MIDDLE POSITION THEN IT WILL ALLOW YOU TO FORMAT THE MEMORY CARD BUT YOU WILL LOSE WHATEVER THAT IS ON THE MEMORY CARD AND WILL HAVE TO DOWNLOAD IT ALL OVER AGAIN..I HOPE THIS IS CLEAR ENOUGH FOR EVERYBODY TO UNDERSTAND BUT THIS IS HOW I GOT MY MUSIC AND PICS ON THE MEMORY CARD

I did the same thing and after a little online sleuthing i found this solution (it works for me)

go to "menu" then "media net" then "browser settings"
Next go to "accounts" then hit "new" (at the top right next to the title "accounts")
fill in dialog boxes as follows

Account name: Rogers (doesn't really matter what you name it, this will just be the name of the network as it shows up in the menu)
Homepage: mymobilehomepage.rogers.com
Connection mode: TCP with Proxy
Proxy Address: 208.200.067.150
Proxy Port Number: 80
Security: Non-secure
Time out: 150

then click where it says MEdia Net and hit "options" then "new"
fill in the following

Connection Title: Rogers (again doesn't matter what you name it)
Authentication: PAP (don't worry about "bearer")
User Name: wapuser1
Password: wap
APN: goam.com

After everything is complete make sure to select your new option at the bottom (where it used to say "MEdia Net" it should now say "Rogers" or whatever you decided to name it)

Finally hit "save" and activate this profile. You should now be able to access the internet from your LG VU

No. Unless you unlock your phone (I wouldn't recommend it), you can't download new themes. 
It's not that there's none available, it's just that the phone isn't capable of putting new themes on them. I'm transferring the theme files to my memory card, so we'll see. Maybe there is a certain filetype that will work.
But I doubt it.
(PS: I'm Canadian and on Rogers, so I have a slightly different model. It's the TU915)
