ouch .. that sounds like a good way to ruin an engine .. the low oil pressure should tell you to stop driving until the problem is fixed .. if the oil and filter havnt been changed regularly (sometimes even if they have) then you could have sludge blocking the oil pump intake screen (in crankcase) ... or the oil pump could be simply bad .. without oil pressure the hydrolic valve lifters will make noise (if it has them) and you might hear (Heaven forbid) rod bearings knocking and main bearing noise .. thats a precurser to engine meltdown .. a new oil pump is much cheaper than a total rebuild .. you can do an external oil pressure test but you already know its low ... the other symptoms verify that .

SOURCE: 1995 bmw 318i will not start once the car is up to

Possible causes: Fuel pump relay, Pump, Fuel Filter, Regulator, Crank Shaft Sensor, Camshaft Sensor, Loos Connection(try to wiggle the wiring harness and observe). or faulty Ignation Switch.

Observe if the engine will lack of power first before to shut off, if this is the scenario it could be a fuel pump relay or pump. I suggest you to monitor the fuel pressure first or try to swap fuel pump relay to other as long as same color or figure and observe it.

If the senario is sudden cut off, it coud be a faulty cranck shaft sensor. a faulty cranck shaft sensor is easy to determine using tachometer while cranking, if the sensor is faulty the tachometer will not move or rise even a little bit if it's good it will rise a bit while cranking the engine.

Check fuel pump when the problem occur, try to ignition ON/Off and listen to fuel pump motor noise from underneath (close to rear right side tire), the pump will operates for aprox 5 sec. everytime you turned ON the ignition switch. and if you can't hear noise then you have to focus to fuel system.

Your engine computer is bad. It's a good thing that you mentioned about the check engine light dying also, as this is a classic sign of a bad ecm. I have repaired more than one of these Jeep computers, replacing the three power capacitors located inside the computer, and they have worked for years afterwards. If you don't have the skills or knowledge to repair the ecm, get yourself a rebuilt ecm unit and swap it out.

Transmission fluid

You need to remove transmission dipstick, use the narow long funnel and pour the transmission fluid that way. Please check the level of transmission fluid only when vehicle was driven for at least half an hour. Park the vehicle on level surface and whit engine off check the transmission dipstick for range of fluid . If fluid is low add carefully to the center mark of the dipstick between minimum and maximum range. Drive vehicle or select each gear down and back holding your brake and at each gear for 10 seconds up and down the shifter. Check the level again and add if needed. Repeat til you have reach that level. Do not overfill it!

How do I bleed the radiator in my C70 Volvo ? you can bleed a radiator in a C70 , rite ?..

  1. This method works best if the nose of the car is raised as high as possible. Park your car in your driveway. Let your car cool down. When your car is cooled down, you are ready to work on the cooling system.
  2. Open the hood of your car. Secure the hood with the safety handle. If you have a newer car, you should have a bleeder valve on the front of your radiator. Check in your owner's manual for the location of this valve. If you do start your car, open the valve with wrench and let your car heat up. The excess air will bleed out of your cooling system. Keep your car on long enough to give the (trapped air) time to bleed out of your system.
  3. Let your car cool down. Once the car is cool, take off the radiator cap. Did the level of the radiator fluid go down? If it did, it means you bled the air out of your cooling system. Replace the radiator fluid, turn on the car, and let it run. Replace radiator fluid as needed.
  4. Step 3 (above) is the way you will remove air from your cooling system if you do not have a bleeder valve on your radiator. You will leave the cap off the radiator. You will run your car until it heats up. As the air dissipates, the radiator fluid level will go down. You will fill up your radiator fluid to the correct level. Be careful because the heated radiator fluid will be hot. Always wear leather gloves and safety goggles when working on your radiator.
  5. Once the air dissipates and you fill the fluid, shut off the car. Let the car cool down. Once the car is cool, put the radiator cap back on the radiator. You may have to put more radiator fluid in the radiator. The level may fall as the car cools down. Now it is safe to drive your car. You have removed the trapped air from your cooling system.

My ranger shuts down randomly and then wont restart anywhere from 30 minutes to more then a few hours iv tried the enersha switch and fluid levels im thinking its probably a sensor

This sounds like it could be a fuel pump that is failing. As you drive it heats up and once it gets to hot it stops working and then you will have to wait for it to cool down before it will start again. Driving around with a full tank of gas can help keep the pump cooler for longer periods of time but it will need replacement. I hope this helps you.

My 99 Sebring overheats only after driving for a while, and only after i slow down, to park or drive slowly or whatever.

First check the antifreeze level. Make sure to do this when the engine has not been running for a period of time (failure to do so could cause burn injuries) If the level is low, top it off. After test driving the vehicle check for leaks under the car. If fluid it leaking, let car cool down, top off fluid again the take to a shop. Prolonged operation of vehicle under these conditions could damage the motor.
